These knives are super sharp, and, since I have had them (and they are in constant use!) I haven't had to sharpen them, not once! I suspect that, when the time arrives when I should sharpen them, they should hold a good edge. It looks beautiful on display in my kitchen; blends in perfectly with with my dark, Mission-wood style cabinets! I would thoroughly recommend this set!

I bought this has a gift for my son. He loves it! The wide selection offers a knife for every need in the kitchen. They are well made and the wood block keeps them organized.

I just unboxed this knife set this afternoon. We obtained it to replace our current set of kitchen knives whose plastic handles have begun to crack. We always hand washed the knives from our current set and never placed them in the dishwasher nor allowed them to lie submerged in water so to have them develop cracks in the handles has me puzzled. The knives in this new set really look nice; the blades of the knives are highly polished and the pakkawood handles are very attractive. Handles of our current set have a piece of plastic on either side of the tang that are connected to the tang by three rivets. These new knives have a solid wood handle without any rivets through the sides; instead there's a metal cap at the end of the handle that fixes the wood handle in place between the bolster and the end of the tang. For their equivalent blade length these knives are lighter than our previous set - which surprised me. I really like the variety of blades included with the set; it should handle all of our cutting and slicing needs. The quality of the kitchen shears included with this set are far and above those included with any previous knife set that we've owned. Knife sets we've owned in the past have always come with shears with plastic handles and that typically have a plastic cover over the screw and nut at the pivot point. The plastic cap or the ring of plastic around pivot typically break off. The shears that come with this set are very substantial and have handles made of the same wood used on the knives - but they are of the riveted two piece type. The shears have a heft to them that gives one the sensation of holding a high quality product that you know will last for years to come. Finally, the knife block has a feature that we've not seen on any other block from previous sets: the section of the block that holds the six steak knives is like its own separate knife block that can be removed from the kitchen and placed on the dining table. The steak knife block section has four feet on the bottom that fit into slots cut into the base of the block for the larger knives in the set. Unless you knew about this feature you couldn't tell that the steak knife section was removable as it looks like most other knife blocks I've seen.

I love this set of knives! They’re beautiful!First off, the block is like a work of art itself and from the moment I opened the box I could smell that wood smell. It’s a very well made block, nice and sturdy, and keeps the knives stored safely and cleanly.I’ve been using these knives for a few months and I’ve been super satisfied. They’re well made, very comfortable to hold, have a nice weight to them and even after tons of use, they still look brand new. I’m particularly fond of the steak knives as I’ve struggled to find a set that are nice and sharp, that work well and aren’t trash after washing.The selection of knives is pretty great, I’ve had a knife to use for all of my kitchen needs. Some knives I’ve used more than others, but they are all sharp and do their job well. I always gently hand wash my knives with warm water and the name brand blue dish soap, then I hand dry them right away, so water isn’t just sitting on them long term, and I store all the knives in the included knife block. This washing process has worked for me and has kept my knives looking pristine.I was honestly shocked reading some negative reviews about breakage, rusting or discoloration. I’ve had none of those problems and some of my knives have been used practically daily for 4 months. I absolutely love these knives. I’ve even had friends and family over for meals and ask about my knives because they’re so impressed.I think these knives would make a phenomenal gift for a bridal shower, housewarming gift, for the kitchen enthusiast in your life or even just a gift to yourself!

I discovered Imarku knives when I was looking for a good quality, reasonably priced knife for everyday food prepping, as I cook several hours each day for friends and family. I am not a professional chef, but have high standards and expectations when purchasing knives and kitchen tools to prep and make food. After purchasing the 7 inch utility knife separately, I loved the quality and precision of the knife, so I ordered the set. It is a beautiful set, and I have also purchased more steak knives to complete the set for entertaining large gatherings. The only piece that isn’t, in my opinion, great is the shears. They are not the best. Overall, though I’m happy with my purchase and recommend these to any and all home chefs!
