Good Theology Overview
Generally speaking, if you know something well, you should be able to explain it to a child. This book uses stories, illustrations, and complementary verses for memorization to describe large-scale theological topics like covenant, Christology, and salvation. I like using it for a youth group setting, as it clarifies and explains high-level concepts at a level appropriate for teenage students.

Great Theological Studies and an Engaging Writing Style!
What a fabulous book. Norris tackles major theological themes such as faith, grace, salvation, the name of Jesus, etc... and puts them in to an easy to understand format with language and style relevant to the 21st Century. Interwoven with theology are intriguing stories and illustrations that help bring those deep, important, theological truths to life. Norris' style is engaging and often humorous which also makes this a great read. This text was used in a theology class that I took and I don't think there could have been a better text. Many theological books are dry and dull (not because of the content) but because many theologians are not creative writers and therefore cannot articulate their ideas in an engaging matter. Not so with Dr. David Norris. Buy this one- you won't regret it.

Great book! Use an open mind, and have time to ramble through it.
This book is heavy laden with so many usable nuggets it is difficult to read quickly. If you are an organized person, this book may not be for you. There are a lot of rabbit trails that are found and followed. However, they all lead back to the same place. This book is well worth the addition to your library if you are looking to explore the Big Ideas of God that you think you know. Overall, great read!!

I watched the dvds in church and I can say with him just like me Big Ideas spoke to painful broken spot in our lives and helped in so many ways especially with our walk with God. Once he gets out I would like to read the book when I have a time to reflect in life.

Timeless Truths in Postmodern Language
This book is a fabulously written book. The scholarship is deep and evident. However the language and communication style is very current.

Practical and Experiential Theology
I really enjoyed the format that Dr. David Norris presented in this Book. Although he is presenting Biblical and Doctrinally Sound material it is given not in an orderly Seminarian textbook style. In my estimate he is taking Biblical, Systematical Theology and bringing forth what is paramount to all these subjects: an Experiential Intimate Relationship with God in Jesus name via Holy Spirit. There are instances where Scholars treat the Bible like any other book, stripping it of its Supernatural Origin in order to have a Philosophy of men. Therefore, there is no coherent composition of thought without any true Actual Faith in God to Walk with Him, to Know and Please Him; but not in this writing. One statement from this book:"There's a lot of "pretend knowledge" out there, people who are sharing things about God who simply do not know God".

I AM condensed.
Big Ideas is a great book for those who may have a hard time understanding, I AM: A Oneness Pentecostal Theology. The book contains the same arguments, and concepts, but presents it for the younger mind. I use it as the curriculum for my Sunday school class.
