I bought this for my Mum for Christmas so she would always know I was beside her holding her hand. Her health has gone downhill dramatically since then, and she’s now having end of lifeNursing care in a home. It took us months to do it, but I’m so glad we managed to do it yesterday, and that she has my hand, and I’ll always have hers when she passes. The reviews worried me it would end up awful, but the reality is lovely. My thumbnail broke in the cast process - not sure how - but I’ll file it and tidy it up. Very happy it worked and didn’t turn out a sloppy mess as some reviews said.

The media could not be loaded. Mixed feeling but mostly happy. Only other thing I'd add though is that with it being a couples casting really you need to have a bigger bucket as it makes it hard to not tough sides. Also gives you too much liquid mould as once you put your hands in it over flows. You are left with a fair amount of liquid once it all drys in the bucket also. So had to put it in the oven to dry it out as seen others gained mould. Also left with a few holes in fingers and back of hand which is a tad disappointing but luckily not majorly noticeable.

1st of all you have to use cold water which made my baby scream and cry, doesnt seem suitable for newborns. It turned baby's skin so so so dry as well. She squirmed and didnt want her hands or feet put in. First one didn't set properly and baby's foot came out looking like monster munchies. Did baby's hand and it was missing a finger. Thought I did something wrong so ordered another and tried again. Mould set before I got to put baby's hand in it, set a timer for 1.40 so I had time but it was solid by the time I got hand in. Feet came out crumbly. Spent £60 all together and have no cast that I want to have as a keepsake. She's now grown so I've wasted time and money on this mould. Could probably have paid someone to do it for me.

Omg this is absolutely brilliant!! I bought this to do a hand sculpting with my mum I can't believe just how good the finished sculpture is. It's so easy to do, Just read the instructions & do the test sculpture first so that you get an idea of the proving timings. Both Mum & I are so pleased with how it has come out especially for mum as it picked up all details of a cameo ring that she was wearing which was originally her mums. This is the perfect keepsake & I definitely think it's worthy of its 5/5 star rating. Give it a go you won't be dissapointed.

Instructions say to use cold water and baby will not like it so makes it very hard to get a good mould. Warm water much better although the alginate sets much faster which is also better as you only need to keep babies hand in it for a minute as opposed to 3 minutes.
