This is a good puzzle to teach 3-6 yr olds how to move from the earliest puzzles to more challenging. It provides a full size picture of the finished puzzle to use as a guide and the whole thing fits into a wooden “tray” to make it easier for a child to find the parameters and physically fit it together. Builds confidence.

Unlike another set of wooden puzzles I recently got, this set here comes with a sample picture of the puzzle but the picture does not fit inside the wooden border for the child to learn where to place each piece. We had to tape the picture to the wall and used that as guidance. Had the photo fit inside the wooden puzzle border, it would have been a lot nicer!!Each piece is made of thin wood. One issue I found with this set is that many pieces can incorrectly fit together even though the picture does not line up. This could be due to the manufacturer cutting many pieces to the same shape?Other than those 2 flaws , this was a fun puzzle for my 2 year old (with help from Daddy).
