This book makes me wish it were possible to award 6 stars ! I cannot recommend it highly enough.The illustrations are so stunningly beautiful that it is tempting to skip over the text and rush from each image to the next glorious illustration. But to do so would distract from the text which is both informative and, at times, inspirational.This is not a book to enjoy once and then put it on a shelf. It is a book to be kept close at hand and dipped into frequently to your favourite bits whenever you need a lift or just to look again on something beautiful.

A truly beautiful book. Julia’s artwork and words draw you in to really marvel at the wonder of the natural world we are so lucky to live amongst. Also very informative on the many healing powers of plants !

This gorgeous book shows how truly talented Julia is, not only as an embroidery artist but as a writer. I felt I was with her experiencing the smells and sights of her garden whilst exploring the book. I find myself visiting it often as I see notice new things in each picture every time I look. Beautiful present for anyone who loves embroidery, art, nature - can’t recommend this book enough.
