I was just going to order a new Shimano BB UN300, but from what I read the quality of the product did not live up to the quality of it's UN-50, UN-55 counterparts that it replaced, and Shimano is discontinuing making any premium square tapered BB's for the foreseeable future....Enter the Omni Racer BB's, these are a much better quality BB, and is a direct replacement for square tapered BB's. Pedaling is very smooth, unlike anything I've felt with standard BB's, it's really something you have to try for yourself. This is the first time I've used a Ceramic BB, so I'm interested to see how it performs out on the road. But from what I can tell thus far I think it will last the life of the bike I installed it on, with occasional recommended maintenance of course. The BB is the engine of your drive train, I check my BB at least once a year and pack new grease in the bearings and I advise others to do the same. I'm really interested to see how the Omni Racer Ceramic performs after a years worth of riding, so I will update this in the future.Really incredible aesthetics and design on these Omni Racer BB's, you can tell they take pride in their work and design of these, it's a shame it's encased in the bikes BB shell, other wise it would be something awesome to show off.Fast shipping.
