My son is in a prolonged “maximum effort” phase. He loves trying to carry really heavy things like boxes and furniture but those are often dangerous and difficult for him to grip. This set is perfect! All of the weights at the same time are just beyond his capability but he likes exerting himself. He’s 23 months but even for baby strength, he’s really strong. He looks adorable lugging this barbell. I do wish the foam cushioned grip was just a little wider. If he uses both hands, they barely fit on the cushion together. The “weights” arrive as hollow plastic and you fill them yourself which is what I was expecting. I filled ours with water because it was readily available. Took a little jiggling to fully fill it. VISUALLY CHECK THE PLUGS before using. One of mine had a defect and leaked water. It was a small hole where the plastic didn’t completely fill the mold. Luckily they included one spare so I had exactly what I needed. So high five to them. The bar feels sturdy without being too heavy. I haven’t had any other leak issues since I replaced that plug. The plugs have stayed in well and my toddler hasn’t been able to pull any of them out. It’s a really good development toy.

The idea of this for kids was awesome but the product itself is very breakable. And when it broke the edges were very sharp.

I love the idea and the option to add sand or water to give it some weight. I work at a gym and gifted 2 of these to my boss's daughter. She loves following her mother with these to workout with her. We also got the matching barbell later on. Having a 2 year old hold these is bulky I wish they were just a tad smaller for their target audience.

I ordered this for my 1 year old and he absolutely loves it. He loves taking it apart and playing with the individual pieces. I dont work out in front of him so he doesnt know to use it for that but he loves just playing with it like its building blocks. The bright colors grab his attention and the plastic is really sturdy and survives his rough play with it. Theres even a space in it to add water if you want to put some real weight to the toy.

My toddler is always trying to steal my weights while working out which is cute but very discouraging as a mama trying to get back in shape. I saw these and they were perfect. The weights are not heavy on their own he’s 2.5 and can easily lift it up above his head will all over the plates attached.You can actually increase the weights on them by filling with water. I will do this as he gets older and ready for a bit more of a challenge. For now its all fun to have his own big boy weights like mama.

Well, this product broke right away. As soon as it took its first fall, it snapped the main bar and broke it right off. It is all plastic. I am not sure how well this would hold up if you actually put water into the weights. We didnt even get to try that before it broke. Disappointing. I am not sure if we were just careless and it broke or if it is really just a bad product. I tend to assume the later. This is advertised for children and should be able to withstand a few falls without breaking. As a result, we never really got to test this product and I am bummed. Hopefully, the manufacturer can make this stronger in the future. At this time, I cannot recommend.

I bought this kids weight set for my children who love to imitate me when I exercise. The weights are very cute and colorful, and they look like real dumbbells and kettlebells. They are made of plastic and are very light, so they are safe for the kids to play with. The product also comes with little plugs that allow you to fill the weights with sand or water to make them heavier.However, I found that the plugs were not very secure and the water leaked out when I tried to fill them. I decided to keep them empty and use them as pretend weights instead of actual ones. My kids still enjoy playing with them and pretending to be strong. They are a fun toy for kids who like to work out with their parents.
