Excellent value for money
I was pleased to give this as a gift, as it was presented in a smart box. The recipient - a keen gardener - was very pleased.

The wait begins...
This is a well put together kit with hopefully some spicy chillies and a few herbs at the end of it all.The instructions / guides are ok and cover the basics. They have nice photos / illustrations and clear guidance walking you through each step of the process, certainly for the herbs. The chilli instructions are a bit more vague on specifics though. All you need extra is some water and a tray / container to mix up the coir within, then place on a window sill or similar once all done. It's good fun to do with the kids and the way it is presented it'd make an ideal gift.I'll leave this review here and once i have movement in the seeds i'll come back to update things. For now a tentative 4 stars and i await the chillies / herbs!

They really grow
Wasn't expecting much from this but every single chilli seed I planted has started to grow as have the herbs. Well worth the money really enjoying watching them grow

We have something happening
We have a couple of seedlings making an appearance. I think we should have been a little less optimistic and planted at least two seeds per species instead of just one per. We just thought that six chilli plant would produce enough heat for our pallets, but it looks like we might only end up with the two plants currently showing. Lesson learned! We have more seeds but I think it' getting as little late in the year to try and germinate more as the chilli seeds take a long time before deciding if they are going to grow.I think the set is quite nice, comprehensive. Might be a little on the pricey side, but if these plants survive and produce anything, I'll be happy enough.

Love them
I bought these Grow Your Own Chilli Kit & Grow Your Own Herbs Bundle for my kids to help them develop a love of gardening. I was pretty sceptical but they work! They still grew well even after a few days of neglect. It was so easy and I am glad I did this.

Great value for two kits in one.
The BEES chilli and herb growing kit arrived very professionally packed in a full colour printed cardboard box.In the box you get everything that you need to grow your own selection of chillies and herbs, including a mini propagator for the chillies, peat pots, coir, labels and a separate tray and mini plastic growing pots for the herbs.A nice full colour instruction leaflet is also included and all you have to do is add water to the growing medium and fill the propagator and mini pots.Seeds are provided for 6 different types of chilli and 5 different types of herb. All the chilli seeds germinated within 14 days and were soon ready to transfer to the peat pots for growing on.Herb seeds seem to be a bit more temperamental and I only got results from the parsley and the basil. However, a fun and comprehensive kit for adults and children alike!

Great kit to teach kids about growing
A really nice kit that you can get the kids to help set up.You plenty of soil and seeds, and the instructions seem straightforward enough, although it could explain things with a bit more clarification - do we use all the seeds in one go, or only a few? It mentions putting in the seeds into the propagator and then 60mm adding soil.. do I add some soil at the bottom first? I'm a real newbie when it comes to things like this, so the more specific the instructions are, the better. I assumed a layer of soil, and four of each seeds will suffice, so lets hope that's correct! The herb kit is a nice addition, and a lot more straight forward to work with - no uncertainty there. My youngest son (6yo) really liked getting involved in setting this up - he happens to be learning about the life cycles of plants at school so this will help boost some confidence when it comes to this topic as he can generally be quite shy at school. Will update this review in a few weeks if/once the plants start to grow! Looking forward to some home grown chilli's.EDIT:One week later, the Chilli's are sprouting, and so is the Basil in the Herb tray but the others have still yet to be visible.EDIT:July 2024 Update: The first batch of chilli's have grown very well, however a few did not make it. The grown ones have been transplanted to a larger pot and a new batch of seedlings are growing nicely! (See last picture, middle and right. Left pot is beetroot that my son was growing at school! Looking into getting larger pots for when the first generation get too big.
