South Mission Deluxe Hammock Chair - Midnight Black

Love this chair.... I had one in the past from "Sky Chair" which I adored, but it finally wore out. When I went to get another of the same, I came across this one & figured for the money, I'd give it a try. Although it's not as comfortable as the original "Sky Chair", it was less than half the price. I would definitely buy it again. WHOA!...I just went online to check my review & found this chair greatly reduced! I paid over $45.- for it which I thought was a great deal.... $30.- is INCREDIBLE!! I also just noticed the additional things you could buy for it like the swivel & the spring which I think would be fantastic so will order them soon. Another thing, people with back problems such as myself have a tough time getting comfortable in a chair without getting "antsy". I sat in this chair yesterday & read for hours with no pain... I love the way it "cradles" me taking the weight off my back. These chairs are great for the pergola or even a sunroom if you can find hammock chair stands which I would venture to guess Amazon carries.

Bought my first set in 2013 for use on the aft deck of my boat. These have been kept outdoors and used almost daily the entire time. After three years one has broken twice at the same spots within a few months. The webbing that holds the dowel rod sockets ripped through at the top and bottom on one side. Inspection showed the webbing was rotting most likely due to 3 years of strong UV exposure. I had a canvas shop sew it together the first time. The other chair is now showing similar signs. For $35 a chair, 3 years of daily service is acceptable and time to replace both of them. These chairs are very comfortable and dry quickly when it rains. Besides the nylon webbing, all other components of the chair are in excellent shape.Just ordered my second set.

For the price it's ok. One of the arm dowels was warped; probably painted pine-not oak. Haven't contacted them yet, but will and repost. Easy to put together. The nylon rope could be thicker. The pillow could be larger. Love that it comes with all the hanging hooks and eye screw. Material seems pretty strong. Love the case it came in; look forward to taking camping and hanging in a tree. Hope to get a new dowel and will be more satisfied. Delivery was surprisingly fast. Thanks!Update: nylon hanging rope whee the dowl attached to broke. Dried up and tore. Had it a little over a year. Sent an email to them asking about warranty and did not get a reply as far as I know. Would not buy again. I live in AZ. The material faded but did not rip on chair. Under a shade tree all the time. Was nice to have, kids loved it but would like better quality.

Lasted one year with little use. The stitching started to give way, rendering the chair dangerous. The overall quality of manufacture does not compare to hammaka brand, which lasted for about 5-6 years. This chair was purchased to replace that one. I will return to the original.

Not sure what they expected it to be used for, but after about 8 months of minimal use it has torn right off from the poles and is useless

I bought this one for myself and another one for my daughter. Hers was for everyday use at her desk indoors, and mine was for occasional use outdoors on the covered patio. I took the chair down when I wasn't using it. I used it maybe 4 times. The first thing I noticed was that it lacked the adjustability of my original SkyChair, which I have been using daily for three years without a problem.The arm rests are sewn in place, so you can't adjust them. The materials (especially the ropes) are thinner and flimsier...definitely not as heavy-duty as the SkyChairMy daughter's chair broke (one of the ropes snapped) after several months of daily use, so I let her use mine. Within a few months, the ropes broke (again!). At that rate, three of these wouldn't even last as long as my one real SkyChair has lasted. This is 1/3 the price, but much less than 1/3 the quality of the original.This is NOT a high-quality chair, especially when compared to the original SkyChair. Two of them broke within less than a year. If you want a chair that's going to last and not break and send you crashing down, don't waste your money on this thing.

Bought two chairs. Initially very impressed with product. Both chairs were unusable after 1.5 years of use. Nylon webbing wore away and broke at web pocket.

I have already purchased a second because my roommate won't get out of it!! It is the same material you find with camping chairs so they can get wet a dry easily. My old hammock chair would take forever to dry, got moldy and could not be cleaned, the material of this one will clean much easier. This is a much better construction, design and comfortably sits a large adult, the leg rest adjust easily to accommodate height differences. The cup holder is a nice touch.
