Graded Chinese Reader: HSK 1 (150 Words Level): Qian Xiaoyue And Her Family

Good initial HSK 1 reader
This is the simplest of the HSK 1 readers I’ve used, so it would be a good one to start with. Clear and easy to read, with a few new words beyond the HSK list thrown in to expand your knowledge a bit.(Warning: it is a bit 1950’s — Mr Qian is a successful doctor while Mrs Qian is a pretty teacher who likes cooking and shopping. I guess the HSK vocabulary list doesn’t include “feminist revolt”...)

Perfect for beginners!
I think this story is perfect for beginners. It is very simple but there's only so many things to say with 150 characters. I liked practicing reading aloud more fluently and recognizing the characters faster.

great for beginners
I felt like I could read this without any problems. However I wish the paragraphs could be just in pinyin. To help my reading skills.

Great for real beginners
It is perfect for those that know almost nothing (like me).The book has easy and short phrases and the words repeat a lot what improves the chance of learning them.

The best book for hsk 1 current syllabus
This is possibly the BEST little story I could have read to update my knowledge of Chinese. Not only is it simple with the right amount of challenge but the sentences and structures are so applicable to daily life
