I ordered this to help me while repairing my washing machine. They do the job but they were barely able to hold the spring open wide enough to remove from the seal before the loops on the spring slide down the tool.There are some notches that are intended to provide grip for this, but there is a fine line between opening it far enough to remove the spring and so far is slides off the notches.It does do the job and given the price is good value but it did take a bit of practice to get done.

Worked to help replace a broken door lock unit on my 2019 lg washer. Had to remove the door seal and the Spring that holds it in place is too stiff to expand any other way. Tool saved about £60 in repair fee call out.

Prongs far to thick to fit the holes in the wire. So had to grind them down.
