I couldn't be happier with this impact wrench
My objectives for this impact tool were 1) removal/install of auto/machinery lug nuts, 2) sufficient torque, 3) reduced weight, 4) portability to the track and 5) a budget price. This Dewalt tool is perfect on all counts. Using just the lowest of three power settings, I had no problem removing my Mazda lug nuts torqued to 90 pd-ft. On the medium setting, it removed lug nuts torqued well over 100 pd-ft on a Bobcat skid-steer. I didn't measure the highest setting, but it is a big step up from medium setting in terms of speed and power. I also like the comfortable weight of the tool, even with a 5 amp-hour battery. This is my first time using a pinned socket connection vs. the hog ring. Attaching/removing impact sockets is definitely easier. The tool also uses a clever, quick pause before impacting starts during install and slowing speed during removals to eliminate run-offs. Finally, the price...... for about half the price of the highest torque Dewalt impacts, this is a bargain.

all the torque i need!
i bought this one instead of its bigger brother for the ease of handling because it provides all of the torque that i need for my application, which is some mechanical work on my tahoe. it has no problems removing wheels, nuts underneath the car. i purchased this drill specifically to install a 3.5" lift kit....it worked perfectly and provided more than enough torque. this drill is perfect in my hand and not too heavy. the led light is a nice touch! btw, if you are working with wheels....do yourself a favor and buy a set of torque sticks. i over tightened a nut and it sheared off the bolt while i was driving!Revised 3/23/2024I absolutely love this drill! Ok here are the biggest pros about this product after years of used. The batteries last and last and last! The torque…it is capable of freeing all of the frozen nuts underneath my Tahoe. It is very well balanced and easy to used, I am glad I didn’t get big brother! Literally this is always the first tool that I grab when working on my truck. I recently installed a leveling kit on my suv, this power tool is a must!

Gets the basics done right...and easily.
This was originally on backorder upon purchase, so I had to wait a few weeks before arrival. During this time I was chomping at the bits in anticipation as the charger and batteries were slowly staggering in on my doorstep while I waited. Finally got to put it to use on my girlfriend’s front pads/rotors on her SUV. Worked like a charm. Bye bye clumsy tire irons and breaker bar. This lil guy helped with the tires and was even small enough to fit in the wheel well and take off the brake pad brackets with ease. Between the impact driver and the new car jack, I was left a little disappointed there wasn’t more to fix due to having finished the job so quickly. I’ll probably never use this for anything other than the basics on my car, but I can say it definitely saved me time and preserved my sanity.

Ideal for keeping in the car, truck, or trailer
i have more powerful impact and costly wrenches at home for heavy tractor and truck work. This mid-range impact wrench is perfect for taking on the road in a car, truck, or trailer. With an affordable price of $130, I bought one for each of my vehicles. Now I don’t have to be concerned about using the pitiful lug wrenches that come with new vehicles. I just added the appropriate sockets and a 4Ah battery for each one. This mid range impact wrench has no problems handling any of my cars, my utility trailers, and even my 2500HD pickup. I check and top off the batteries every 3 months if unused.

Outstanding.
Used in my mini shop and warehouse to maintain equipment, tires, etc.Very compact. Excellent and very very handy.Up to this time, have only used the legendary (found in most tire shops) silver indestructable Ingersoll Rand Air Impact Wrench, Torq sticks where needed. This is well worth the money spent.Ordered just the unit. Did not need more Dewalt batteries.

Great value and a 20V product BUT
Other than the fact that it is so new that Dewalt does not even have it listed as a product. Also Dewalts customer service is by far the worst. I have sent two messages a week a part and no answer. The date on the box and inscribed on the unit does not allow for proper registration. There is no SN listed on the box or unit. It works great but if you do not have any customer service what good is it.

Very Happy
I bought this as an upgrade from my pneumatic impact wrench to work on my cars. Obviously, the battery is more convenient than the hose. But it's also lighter when using a 2mA or 3mA battery. I have also used it with a 6mA and 9mA battery (60V) and that gets a little heavy.I haven't had any other battery impact wrenches, but this DeWalt was more comfortable to handle and easier to switch from F to R and back than my friend's Milwaukee. The detent pin holds very well. I was a little concerned since my old impact was a hog ring, but I have had no issues with the sockets pulling off.The force is good. It pulled bolts out well, and the only bolt it was not able to remove was a large control arm bolt that I wasn't able to break loose with a breaker bar either. The impact wrench is strong, but it's not Superman.

Great tool
Bought this to use for removing mower blades and lug nuts. Does both very quickly and easily. Lots of power and performance in a compact package. Even using 2.0 ah batteries, the tool runs for quite awhile. I recently used the DEWALT DW2298 1/2-Inch Square to 1/4-Inch Adaptor Hex Rapid Load to install several roofing screws. It worked great and added even more versatility to the impact wrench. Another great tool from Dewalt.
