Very Thick Metal and Super Heavy Duty
Having been a former steel worker, I can tell you with all certainty that this fire pit is heavy duty and industrial! I have several fire pits that are chromed, which use a much thinner metal. This fire pit uses a much thicker metal and actually uses natural rust to color the fire pit! When you are investing this much money into a portable fire pit, you have to know that it is going to last for years upon years; this one will! It is beautifully aesthetic as you sit outside, watch it, and drink coffee. The rust hues change in color the more that you use it. This size fire pit is considered a hybrid because it is right in between the largest size and the smallest size. I find it a perfect size for every day use. I love the rusted patina but it will get on your hands and therefore the manufacture includes a pair of gloves for you to handle it with. The base is heavy duty with air inlet holes, there are no sharp edges, and leaving it outside will not cause it to rust anymore than it already is but will actually add to the aesthetic look of it. My only complaint would be that it did not come with a storing bag or cover. They've done a wonderful job with the rusted earth tones and the quality in which they manufactured this product. You can use pellets in it or hard woods. The thickness of the metal that they are using is much thicker than the competition, so this unit is built to last. When comparing the price of this against a leading manufacturer, you will find that this is very competitively priced and double the size of the smaller units that can't keep you warm like this one can. You can actually cook hotdogs or s'mores over this, and after you stop feeding it wood it will cool down in about three to four hours so that you are able to dump the ashes out of it . Realize when considering this item that it is not just for one summer or winter, it is for years and years of use and enjoyment. There is something about sitting outside in the dark while watching a small fire and sipping on your favorite beverage. I love the rust look on it more than I thought that I would, the color would remind you of an earthen flower pot but there are some people who just won't like it. I just thought it was neat, and I highly recommend it!

Full flame combustion
This smokeless fire pit is pretty good for backyard use and right size for my patio. It is portable but still has some weight. It has a design with ventilation holes in the bottom and air outlets in the upper inner wall which can help the wood burn more fully and produce smokeless. It is made of corten steel which could be more durable and corrosion-resistant. My previous fire pot was an ordinary iron pot. It rusted and broke after being left outside for a while. Not only can it be used for heating, it is also a great cooking tool. But there is a lot of rust on the surface. Make sure you take it outdoors before taking it out of the box, as well as wearing gloves.

Make sure you know what Corten means
Its my own fault not looking up the definition of corten steel, but the last thing I expected was a fire pit that was already so rusted that there were pieces flaking off in the box. All steel is going to rust eventually, but why give it a head start. Makes no sense to me. You can't touch this fire pit without getting rust all over your hands and if you left it on any type of porous decking it would get stained with rust. No thanks, not a fan.

Five year warranty
Fire pit is made of a special metal, so it should last a very long time. I Like the smokeless design and the double walled steel, this is holding and trapping the heat better during use. Fire pit is easy to move around if needed. I really like the fire pit so far, I would recommend.

Burns cleanly
The media could not be loaded. I was impressed with this little firepit's ability to prevent lots of smoke from occuring with the log burn down. Any tendrils of smoke looked like steam when any did appear, and only seemed to come from the vent holes at top and bottom. The die down from the burn took about 45 minutes, leaving the copper ombre toned from soot, but no less unique to look at. The only thing I took away from the end result was that if this placed on grass, it will leave a burn ring in that spot, along with dead grass. At least the pit is easy to clean out when it needs to be stored away.

Smokeless fire pit
First time using it made S’mores are awesome with marshmallows from the cinder table top. Clean and hot I’m very impressed how hot and how clean my new Solo Stove burns. It is exactly as advertised made of very strong materials.
