Inexpensive and convenient solution for travel
I bought the sim before my trip to UK and France. It arrived promptly. I registered the SIM on-line at Telestial.com web site, added $25 to the SIM to buy 1GB data package for $20 and had $10 left for Calls and SMS. It turned out to be enough for my trip. Everything worked well – Data, Calls and Texts. The SIM came with the US number, which was convenient for me. I liked the fact that I was able to schedule the date for data package activation, so by the time I landed in London, the data package was active and data was already working. I can recommend this sim to everyone traveling to Europe.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS SIM CARD WHEN TRAVELING INTERNATIONALLY
The card does not offer 1GB of data as advertised. This is completely false advertising. When i used the sim card in Europe it only had a balance of $5. When i called customer care for a refund they said its NOT misleading, and DID NOT EVEN WANT TO UNDERSTAND THE ISSUE OR MISLEADING INFORMATION. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS SIM CARD WHEN TRAVELING INTERNATIONALLY!

Don't turn on your phone on a cruise ship
This is the first time I've used a SIM card (Europe) and my first impressions about the service.Overall, the idea of SIM to keep your cell phone and data costs down in Europe is a good idea. But the service has a few bumpy spots along the way and one hell of a pothole.First, the web site is not as user-friendly as it should be. Starting with explanations that are provided for their various products; they seem to be almost 90% there and then the final 10% critical to make the final decision is missing or unclear. I think we've all been in that situation on web sites. You will have to make assumptions, that may cost you, or you contact them. I'm profoundly deaf so the second option is tough. Sending email could get you into days worth of correspondence. Text window support sometimes works. For example, there are two data packages that at first seem strange. The first is 1 G of data over 30 days for more than 5 G of data over 15 days. You're left with wondering what is the advantage. When it comes time to activate.... you are to register on the same site you bought the item. If using a cell phone, you have got to scroll down far enough and not see the necessary clicks. This, for a first time user, is frustrating. Those click options should show in your cell phone window when you land on that page without scrolling.Signing on is a two-step process requiring you to key in your information/password twice with some screens not designed for cell phone use. The final page is not cell phone friendly. This whole process is quite curious because the product they are selling/providing is directly related to your cell phone.Be aware that they are in the Eastern United States and if you have certain inquiries, you will have to wait till office hours. The technical side seems to work on all hours.I spent almost $100 US on this next one. The service does not have a brake system. If something goes wrong and data starts to "leak" on your phone, it could wipe out your voice contract if you didn't also buy the data contract. This will limit your use of the phone with no explanation. You will not be able to log in to your account to see what is going on because it requires data. On cruise ships, the data rates are very expensive. Cruise ships sell their own services and this may be a ploy to get you to buy. If you just returned from a day trip onshore, you will most likely keep your cell phone on. This will put you at risk and the ship may drain your account if your phone has apps that simply check-in or update. The solution is simple. The SIM card service could have a limit on rates and if it is passed warn you about it. It can also set a limit to how much data leaks at high rates it will allow before it stops and warns you. These warnings could be sent by TEXT. I was able to download my email on the day I was leaving the ship at a coffee shop. One email from the service offered to give me some relief, not specific, if I put in a claim whilst still on the cruise. While cashing up my account, I noticed a maximum cash limit. You can only cash up so much within a time frame and then you would need to fill in and send a form. What!!!???The system did work when I had money in the jar. But the learning curve did cost me dearly. Would I use it again? Yes. However, this experience has left me with a bad taste and highlights the importance of good web site/app design and service that can be remedied by limits. Would I recommend this service on cruise ships whilst in port.... no. There are too many traps that will drain your account unless you buy into a data plan. Now your back to the data plan question I had pointed out at the start of this.

Seemed to work well enough. Would purchase again.
This seemed to work for our travels in Europe that just ended, but in some locations signal was weak or nonexistent, where I would have thought the signal would be strong. For example, in the middle of a large residential area in the middle of a city of 100,000. I do not know if this is because there really was no signal, or that the SIM card did not connect to all possible roaming possibilities. This card did provide a reliable WIFI hotspot through our phone when we had a strong wireless signal. We are satisfied enough with this card to be saving it for our future travels to Europe next year. As an additional note, it does also work in the US if needed.

Worked fine.
I purchased this before going on a trip to England and Ireland this summer.I put it in on landing and it worked right away. I only needed to make a few calls so I didn't add to the time that comes with the chip but you could call in and add more time if needed.it worked in Dublin, London and Chichester with good signal bars and a good connection

Don't buy it!!!!!!
My wife made one call from Europe with it. Every other call or text wouldn't go thru. She contacted customer service and they were no help. It would have been far better and cheaper to get a tmobile phone for one month. Live and learn. Why can't I leave a zero star review?

Good but challenging
The company is great. Great customer service. But it was a bit challenging to figure out how it worked. Once I figured it out...took a few days it was fine.

Apart from that connectivity was good and the voice and data rates were very reasonable ...
I used this on two phones while visiting the UK recently. For some reason it would give an error message when connecting to a mobile network but nonetheless worked well. For some reason the phones would not display the active phone number in settings which is not a problem but strange. Apart from that connectivity was good and the voice and data rates were very reasonable and perfect for my trip allowing me to use map apps etc. without worry. Overall a good product which I will continue to use and would recommend to others.
