When I first opened it... LOL... I thought something was missing... LOLOkay, no more laughing. The scent is surely myrrh with a sweet hint, some people feel it's like chemical, but nah, chemical will cause me headache, but this doesn't. It's an earthly, woody scent. This is the only trustworthy brand I could find on Amazon selling sweet myrrh essential oil. The scent is a bit "thicker" than myrrh, and it smells better than German Chamomile while it has some similar therapeutic effects.

Nice stuff! Didn;t give it 5 because there is another brand i like a lil more. But this is great opo, imo!

Eden's Garden is a great brand, so if you're specifically looking for Opoponax, I would go with this. I bought it to diffuse, and had never smelled this particular oil before. It's not my favorite in terms of scent, which is why I've rated 3 stars. In terms of the Brand: 5 stars. In terms of the scent: 2 stars.

Not quite what I was expecting.

This smells terrible, like rotten mushrooms. I ordered Opoponax to help with depression, but I guess I will use it in a homemade bug spray for the summer.

This such a rancid oil smell. Chemical in its smell profile. I placed two drops on a cotton pad and waved it around. Five minutes later it still was just foul smelling.I wanted use it in a musk I created but no way am I going to.Don't buy this one for fragrance. If it works for pain relief okay I guess.
