Eau de Cologne Spray, Violette, 4.2 Fl Oz

A gorgeous Eau de toilette that’s light and airy- very floral. I’ve tried a few violet scented colognes and this is by far the best- it actually smells like violets! Very strong florals on initial spray and very powdery in the dry down. Lingers for a little while, longer than other reviewers had hinted. It is not as strong as other colognes as others have mentioned, but some of the scents from other colognes give me headaches, so this is perfect for me! Compared to American scents, you can tell it’s very French, not brash at all. There is no box- the bottle is very tightly wrapped in a thick layer of bubble wrap- so the flacon arrived in perfect condition and none of it spilled out. I prefer that, since I have ordered from other brands (Yardley) where the bottle was in the box, but there was no protection for the bottle. This is genuine, the Berdoues website leads directly to this page, so you know you are getting something with high quality. I just wish they’d sell more of the other 1902 scents. I love the Grand Crus, but please don’t discontinue these!

I have purchased several other violet scented brands, and while they smell really good, they eventually gave me a headache. This fragrance must be realistic, because it attracted a few bees when I wore it on my clothes: I usually spray my clothes instead of my skin.The fragrance does dissipate quickly (for me, I just apply another spritz or two, after 30 minutes or a little longer, if I need to....it's not a waist, because I'd rather not get a headache from other heady fragrances).

I was disappointed in the scent, not really violette, smells more like some synthetic scent , not natural. I do not think I will buy it again, used to buy it in France and smelled much better.

Astonished at how weak the fragrance turned out to be after reading reviews suggesting that the scent was a strong one. Initially there is a faint and pleasant note of violets, but it is barely perceptible and quickly fades away. Perhaps the bottle that I got from Amazon was somehow tampered with? I cannot believe any firm could stay in the perfume business if its fragrances had such a watered down quality and quickly dissipated after being sprayed on customers' skin. VERY disappointed.

This is a lovely perfume with a soft, subtle violet scent. It’s not overpowering—just right. I love it!

This does smell like violets, but very weak and watered down. It lasted only 15 minutes on my skin before disappearing. I will never purchase any scent from this brand in the future. My search for violet perfume will continue.

This has great oils holds the scent very well. It is a cologne and it acts like a perfume. Nice scent too!

the scent is interesting, on the fresh side and not too heavy for a floral. Unfortunately it has a very short lifespan. I was disappointed in how quickly it faded out.
