Works but far from perfect
Changed my bow string with this - works but super hard to tighten and looks like the brass threads from the base are slowly grinding away

In tackle bow
I am a finger shooter, so I shoot bows with a long axle to axle. This device has allowed me to work on strings, peep sights, etc. at home, without investing a ton of money. A bow press might be better, but for occasional use this fits the bill.

Knock Off
This is a knock of of the well respected Bowmaster Portable Press. The Bowmaster was not available at the time, so I ordered this one. I used it to change out the strings on a couple of PSE Phenoms. It did an adequate job on the 60# Phenom, but the L Brackets showed signs of bending on the 70# bow. If you have a heavier bow, I would think twice about purchasing this one, and would pay the extra money for the Bowmaster.

Works well for a 40 pound bow.
Given that I have a relatively weak bow (40 pounds), I am not very demanding on the product That said it delivered and does what you need. Keep in mind that you need additional brackets (that I got from the same manufacturer) for split arms bows/

Does not fit split limbs unless you order the L ...
Does not fit split limbs unless you order the L shaped adaptor set, so I am still unsure how well the product works to date.. Didn't need to take down the bow just to reserve a new peep so will have to get back to ya after I get the adaptors and use it..

Great alternative press
Great product! Seems very durable and well engineered. I used this press to replace my failing compound bow string. The range of adjustability is amazing. In addition you can move the bow around unlike a fancy bench rest press that reduces the bow to a stationary state. Love the product and would recommend it others.

Couldn't handle 185lb draw weight.
Didn't work well for me. The cables were too long for my CenterPoint Specialist XL 370 Camo- Crossbow. That is fine, but it also required using the brackets and they kept bending and sliding off the bow. I also found the handle hard to twist and had to slide a pipe over it to make turning the handle easier. I would have to say that this press is not made to handle a 185lb draw weight at all. Nowhere in the description did it mention a load limit...therefore; 2 stars for it not being strong enough.

Great bow press
Great bow press. Good instructions, made installing a peep sight a breeze. Compact size easily fits in backpack for field repairs. A definite must have for anyone with a compound bow.
