Identical replacement
Bought this in an attempt to fix a burner that had a mind of its own. The burner would just randomly change temperature going from a medium simmer to rapid boil without physically adjusting the knob. This has fixed the problem. The temperature works great now and it is an exact replacement for the factory part. Easy to install and only took about 7-10 minutes! And as stated in a previous review the knob shaft might be a bit to long but super easy to snap off at break way point. Comes with no instructions but hey that’s what YouTube is for right!

Worked like a charm.
The old one was smoking and sparking a bit when the element would go on and off. This one was went right in. Will buy another spare (3 switches are the same) and a spare for the dual-burner switch.

Easy, easy to install
This worked perfectly and was super easy to replace. I'm giving it 4 stars because the "stem" or whatever that little longer metal piece is called is about 1/2 inch longer than the others on my stove so it sticks out further than the other 3 knobs. It's not that big of a deal though.

Perfect fit!
This fit my Whirlpool RF378PXGQ0 oven perfectly! As others have said, the shaft is a little long and is made to be shortened simply by breaking a section off with a couple of pliers. It took longer to walk to the garage to get the pliers than it took to break that piece off! Installation is very simple; just pull one wire off the old and put it on the new: one at a time. The old one was only working at high, so it's nice to be able to vary the temperature setting on that burner again.

Worked well on Whirlpool SuperCapacity 465 8" burner
This fit and works well for a Whirlpool SuperCapacity 465 8" burner. The Amp rating is only to 11 instead of 11.5 on the original control, but it does work fine. It is exactly the same size. The connectors are in the same place. Slide the stove away from the wall. Unplug the stove or turning off the circuit breaker for the stove. Remove 9 screws on the top metal backing on the stove. Remove the old switch by taking off the 2 Phillips head screws on the front of the stove, under the knob. Remove one wire at a time and attach it to the same spot on the new switch. Make sure new switch is in the same position as the old one. Reattach the switch using the screws on the front. Reattach the metal cover on the back. Plug in the stove or turn on the circuit breaker. Slide the stove back. It's a very easy repair.

Factory OEM part as described
This is exactly as described and was what I need to get an 8 inch element heating again. This is not the exact part originally supplied with my range, but Amazon's part finder said it was. This did end up working out for me, but the amperes for the switch are slightly lower than my old switch. I recommend pulling your old switch and verifying the part number. I should have, but I did not and it could have cost me. I got lucky that this worked. The post for the knob is longer than the switch I replaced, which leads me to believe this switch was indeed meant for a different set of ranges. Your mileage may vary, but so far it is working out fine for me. Good price too.

Works Like A Charme
One of my big burners on my Whirlpool electric range would not cut the heat down going from high heat to med. heat. Almost burnt a sauce pan before I realized what was happening. Thought maybe it was a fluke until it happened a second time. Read up on it and found out it was the burner switch called an infinite switch. Ordered it through Amazon and received it in less than 2 weeks. The shaft on the switch was longer than my original switch, but the instructions tell you how to break the shaft at a certain point to make it fit properly. Burner element works perfectly now and a big worry off my mind. Just remember to reset your clock when you plug the range back into it's plug.socket. Switch is very inexpensive and shipping was less than $5.00. Fixed my range for less than $25.00. A bargain at todays prices.
