Great introduction to growing plants using hydroponics.
This is a very well made table top plant growing system. The kit contains everything you need to get started. You just need to add the seeds and water. The features like the fish measuring the water level and the leaf water fill grommet are cute and would make it entertaining for kids. The control buttons on the top of the unit make controlling everything easily accessible. The plant food is dry crystals, you just add water to the container, shake it well then measure the small amounts of liquid needed to add to your water. The only suggestion I would make is having a thermometer to measure water temperature as this is important for different plants. You may also want to invest in a PH test kit and learn the PH requirements for each plant. This will increase your chance of success. If you love plants like I do this growing system will give you and your family hours of entertainment. It also looks very stylish on the countertop.

Do your research first
I used this for a bit before reviewing this. Right now I have some basil and rosemary growing. I got cuttings from my parents plants and used them to create my current plants. The thing I cannot stress enough is research. This grow system is a tool but I did not realize how much I didnt know until I tried using this. The instructions are extremely basic. I read them several times, but some of the things that came in the package were not mentioned in the instructions. I had to do research on the items that came in the grow system to understand what they were and how they worked. For instance, it comes with these little cone shaped foam pieces. I had no idea what they were for. Apparently they are grow sponges and you use them to hold tiny seeds or, in my case, the cuttings. It does come with 2 bottles of nutrients to add to your water and it does have basic instructions on how to do it and how much to add, but again I would research first. The lights do have more explanation. There are 3 settings: germination, growth, and flowering. Now that I have some idea of what Im doing, I can see this works as advertised. But do your research first.

Awesome little countertop herb garden!
I've been using this for a few weeks at this point, and I have to say that I am impressed. This countertop herb garden is easy to set up, and it'll get you growing plants in no time! Now, as with many products you'll find on here, the instructions aren't the easiest to understand. Still, most of it is pretty intuitive, and the important stuff is clearly outlined in the booklet you receive with the kit. I think the thing I'm most impressed with though, is the volume of the water pump. It is almost completely silent! I was worried about it being noisy, but I've only ever heard it when I'm actively listening for it. If you want fresh herbs in your kitchen, this is an easy way to do it!

Pretty cool little plant incubator
I like this more than a similar product I got recently. This is smaller, and the buttons being on top of the light make it super convenient. We misplaced the instructions as soon as we opened it, and had to figure out how to assemble it - it was pretty confusing, but we got it all set up only to find the instructions after we finished. These are great for starting home gardens - if you like plants, this is a great toy to have fun with gardening and remove a lot of the risks with getting them started.

Hydro grow unit
I have the name brand OG version of this as well and I have to say this is way better and a better value too. You can grow more at once with this one and it’s just as good as the more expensive name brand one. Very happy with this and plan on using them side by side to increase the amount of plants I can start at once and also use them for propagation of my houseplants like philodendrons and monstera varieties.
