A lovely second chance romance to start off Scarlett Scott’s new series ‘Dukes Most Wanted’. I really enjoyed this book.Vivi, Duchess of Bradford and Harcourt Sherbourne, the Duke of Bradford have been separated for more than a year after having been forced to marry under quite tragic circumstances. Vivi has loved her husband for countless years ever since her brother introduced her to his best friend and was devastated when he left her on the second day of their marriage without any explanation. Tired of waiting and wanting a purpose in her life Vivi is preparing to host a house party for her new friends in the Women’s Suffrage Society. When Court suddenly reappears wanting a reconciliation, can Vivi trust that he will not abandon her again?Harcourt Sherbourne is finally ready to heal and longs to properly start his married life with the wife he left behind. Not realising that his actions seemed like a desertion to Vivi, he is shocked to realise that the young, innocent girl he left behind has turned into a formidable woman. Will he be able to earn Vivi’s forgiveness and put the past behind them?This was a wonderfully moving story about trust broken and earned, grief, loss and healing. Both Vivi and Court loved each other for so long but circumstances and a misplaced promise prevented them from being able to express it. Scarlett slowly reveals the reasons behind Court leaving and the guilt he was working through is gradually unveiled. Vivi makes Court work for her forgiveness but as they get to know each other again they are able to work through their grief and issues and forge a stronger bond.As with all of Scarlett’s books there is plenty of steam and paired with the emotional journey Vivi and Court go through we can see the genuine love they have for each other.The house party is the basis for the rest of the books in the series and promises to be explosive! We are reintroduced to Lady Clementine Hammond and her famous matchmaking skills and I look forward to seeing the ladies of the Women’s Suffrage society again.I received an advance review copy, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

What a great pleasure to see these notorious ladies return .I had the pleasure of receiving an ARC and what a story it is too .Viv,s husband Court the Duke returns after leaving the day after she had wed him almost a year ago to the day leaving her heartbroken , devastated and lonely and just when she is to Host her first house party in two weeks .Needless to say she is not happy when he turns up as if he’s never been away expecting her to be happy and return to being his wife , she’s having none of it and so the story unfoldsCourt adamantly vows to whoo her before the house party starts .With the help of her matchmaking friend Court gets her on his side for the most romantic and passionate reunion he hopes for .The story is so well written and the characters are so good they make for an excellent read , not wanting to give too much away Viv doesn’t make it easy for him , the story is so passionate and sizzling hot just what you expect from Scarlett such an enjoyable read loved it .

I loved Court and Vivi’s story and was very captivated from the beginning. Great second chance romance after a rocky start with the marriage and miss communications. I couldn’t put the book down once I started, I wanted to know what happened and how they got their HEA. They loved each other from the start but didn’t realise each other did and were both hurting from the loss of Percy. Vivi’s brother and Court’s best friend. I loved how they worked through it, ended up healing and moving forwards together. I can’t wait till the next book in the series is released.This book was received as an ARC, which I volunteered to read and so glad I did.I absolutely loved this book. Highly recommend Scarlett Scott as an author.

Scarlett Scott never seems to disappoint me with her writing. Although second chance romances are not my favourite, this one was very good. The heroine did not just roll over and give in immediately, and she made the hero realise just how his actions had hurt her. This book has alot of emotion in it, especially as it revolves around the death of Vivi's brother, who is also the hero's best friend, and the fallout it causes. This is a really strong start to a new series and I cant wait to read the rest.I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

I like period books but couldn't get into this book at all, I persevered to 51% but couldn't read any further, to many inaccuracies.

Loved this story of Vivi and Court. Unbeknown to each other, was the fact that they had loved each other for years before they married. Then Court left for complicated reasons but hadn’t explained to Vivi. Now Court is back but Vivi has many things to consider. Will she be able to trust him again and how does he really feel about her? Court has his work cut out and rightly so, Vivi doesn’t make it easy for him. Vivi’s friend Lady Clementine is on hand to aid with a bit of encouragement. I look forward to reading her story next. This was an enjoyable second chance romance with engaging characters. I received a copy and have voluntarily reviewed it. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

The story is at times hard but the healing of hearts was joyful and a great encouragement to readers of romance!❤️

Forever her Duke, the first book in a new series by Scarlett Scott, is a scorching hot second chance romance. The characters are engaging and the story is very emotional. Both the heroine Vivi and her husband Court are learning how to live without Vivi’s brother & Court’s best friend Percy. The chemistry between Vivi and Court is hot, hot; now they need to learn how to tell each other that there is also love in their relationship. I thoroughly enjoyed this novella and I am looking forward to reading the rest of the books in the series that take place at the house party given by the Duchess, Vivi, and ultimately her Duke, Court.

Vivi and Court are two wonderfully written characters. Their story is enthralling, the author's writing is a pleasure to read showing the different layers of her characters. And the intimate scenes are described with style, passion...they are superb.

I enjoyed this novel greatly, it is well written, the novel progresses well and the storyline is interesting.This series is promising, the next book I have read the base novel when it was part of Second Chance Manor, a series shared with Merry Farmer and Caroline Lee.I am looking forward to reading each couple’s story unfold.
