Marumoto is wrong, the label shows "Maruhon". マルホン 純ねり胡麻 （黒）Amazon have been neglecting correcting it for more than a year.I have tried all 4 different black sesame seed paste and got the result.5 stars - Maruhon(Marumoto) - It taste like a delicacy to me. It has separation & I like that way, inconvenient, but natural. Unlike some other sesame butter, this is not too creamy so it remain the texture.Toasted sesame is better for my body because raw sesame paste cause light diarrhea.5 stars - Iwai Sesame Butter (1kg). As good as Maruhon(Marumoto).4 stars - Eden Foods Organic Black Sesame Butter.4 stars - Jun Kuki – Unlike thick Maumoto paste, this is sloppier. I assume it is diluted with sesame oil.A plastic bag is convenient for a picnic, but bad cap design causes mess.3 stars - Kevala - So so taste. It doesn't have intense black sesame seed flavor.2 stars - De La Rosa - It taste like mud.*It takes 1 mouth to 40 days.I have a patience to wait for a best sesame paste, but it is tiring however.

This is delicious!!!! I bought it for making desserts like the ones I has in Asia this summer. I also have been experimenting with using it where I traditionally use peanut butter, and it's been a lot of fun. If you like black sesame, this is a solid product. It's not sweetened, which I like since then I can control how sweet it is. It's also strong, so a little goes a long way, which is great considering how much this costs. When you first open it there is some separation, but once you stir it up it is fine. Use a butter knife to stir, just like you would with peanut butter. I just wish this had a translated nutritional label, but since I am making desserts anyway, it's not so big a deal not knowing the calories or anything. I HIGHLY recommend this product.

I live in Japan for six months a year, and the Dean & Deluca coffee shop next door to my apartment building sells an amazing black sesame latte. When I am outside Japan, I use this paste as it is almost as good (and I blame myself not the paste for the taste not being as good). Highly recommended.My only caution is that I have had this delivered on hot days and it has been delivered hot which causes the quality to not be quite as good. This is a shipping issue, and not an issue with the product itself, so I recommend buying this during cool weather and if the summer where you live is hot, buy a few bottles they last well when unopened.

I bought this to try and recreate black sesame ice cream and it was perfect for that purpose - thick, smooth and full of flavor. I started following a recipe online but that had way too much sugar - I ended up halving the recommended sugar content and then added this paste until I got the taste I was looking for. A little added vodka does help to minimize ice crystallization, keeping the consistency nice and smooth.

Before I even open the bottle, I smelled sesame and saw the oil-soaked bottom of the box it was packed in. The bottle was really packed lousy and cheaply done: with a round of black duck tape around the cap. But the cap was loose and oil liquid was leaking all over the bottle. I opened it to see whether I could still use it; but there was no inner cap to protect from leaking or protect the paste from being contaminated! It was disgusting. Worst of all, there is no way to return it!!! I’m stuck with something I don’t dare even to try.

I feel in love with black sesame butter while traveling in Japan. So as soon as I got home I got on Amazon and ordered this. First taste, it had a slightly bitter nut taste -- not what I remembered from Japan. The product I had there was slightly sweet and nutty. So I stirred in about two tablespoons of maple syrup. That did it! Delicious. I will add it seems overpriced. Well try Eden brand which is available on another website for more than half the price of this product.

Bought this item to make black sesame ice cream and it turned out really good ( very strong, but just what I wanted none the less).

I had been ordering a small size for a year, every other month.Not any more, I have just found a bigger jar with lower cost than two small one.It taste far better than Kevala Organic Black Sesame Tahini.I wonder why, maybe the way of toasting.Once I knew the better taste, I can't go back to Kevala.I will pay extra money from now on.[Update]I have tried another Japanese product, Iwai black sesame 1kg.$50.00 free shipping so less expensive.They are about same quality and taste.Marumoto lid has heavy duty inner cap so mess can be minimized.Iwai lid has white foam pad so it is not very secure.

今まで真誠の「ねりゴマ黒1㎏」を購入してきたが、今回、試しにマルホンの「純ねり胡麻黒1㎏」を買ってみた。「竹本油脂では、昔ながらの圧搾製法にこだわっている」と書かれているせいか、真誠のより「濃厚」な気がする。真誠の方は、スプーンでそのまま舐めると口の中の水分が取られるような気がするが、マルホンのは、それがなかった。これが「昔ながらこだわりの圧搾製法」の利点なのかもしれない。【追記2020.8.28】昨日、３つ注文して届いた黒胡麻の内、２つの赤い蓋が割れていた。今日、アマゾンに返品交換の問い合わせをチャットで申込んだら、返品交換出来ないと、回答があった。昨日、私が留守の時に配送業者から電話をもらい、置き配の申し込みを私が了承した際に、その配送業者から梱包の蓋が開いている状態だとの指摘を受けた。その時は、まさか物に破損があるとは、思わなかった。今日改めて、物を見て初めて破損に気が付いた。ちょっと、これは酷い対応ではないか？こんなことは、これから何度も起こる可能性がある。アマゾンとの取引を長年してきたが、こんなことは、初めてだ。もっと顧客のことを思って、適切な対応とサービスを要求する。

ほかの方のレビューにあるように独特の香りはあります。しかし気になるというほどのものではなく、私にはＯＫでした。価格も手ごろです。容器の品質も高く、洗ってまた使えます。香りが気になる向きは大村屋の練り胡麻か、真誠練り胡麻をお勧めします。大村屋のものはデパートでも売っているポピュラーで高品質のものですが、価格は最も高いです。真誠練り胡麻の価格はマルホンのものより、１２２円高いです。私には真誠練り胡麻は大村屋の練り胡麻と、味と香りの区別がつきませんでした。

食パンに蜂蜜混ぜてしようしてます。最初あけると、油分が浮いてるときありますので、底から十分に混ぜて小分け瓶詰めしてます。食パン全面に塗りたくって真っ黒にして食してます、とても美味しいです。もっと早くこの食べ方すべきだと後悔してます。マヨネーズ系などは胃もたれしますが、こちらも油分多いが塗りまくるも食後胃もたれしません。ごま油系は消化吸収が早く負担少ないのかもしれません。私は直ぐにげっぷでたり、気分悪くなりやすいのですがこの練りゴマはなりません。食パンにはこのマルホン純練りゴマを今後変わらず毎朝食べることでしょう。

ひとりで食べるには大量でした。サイズ見なかったの？と友達に言われました。はい。全く気にしていませんでした(笑)中蓋が再び閉める時に片方が押し込め切れずに苦労しました。手がベタベタもします。こってりしていて味はとても美味しいです。他の方のレビューにもありましたが開封時ピショっと跳ねます。本当だと納得(^^;中身はかなり固くて取り出しにくかったので、早い段階で小分けしました。味噌汁に入れたり、ヨーグルトに入れてみたり、味噌和えやゴマドレッシングにしたりとトーストに塗ってもいいですね。けどトーストだと甘味が足りないと思う人もいるかもね。ずっと、食べてたから飽きてきちゃったので今は休憩中です。今度は黒ごまのが、欲しいなぁ～。

第一の目的は、胡麻団子に、だったのですが、無糖ヨーグルトに混ぜハチミツをかけて食べたら、美味しい。それに思ってもいなかったのですが、お腹の調子が良くなりました。ヨーグルトに果物、干し果物、ナッツ類をはじめ、色々組み合わせても、あまり … だったのに。ヨーグルト自体がお腹に効く体質でも無いのは分かっていたのですが、胡麻との組合せは成功でした。幼い頃、食べていたのは大村屋の練り胡麻。今は、丸本の胡麻油も何処でも見かける様になりましたが、当時は、地方に流通しておらず（練り胡麻は作っていたのかな？）、また、大村屋の練り胡麻も、スーパーなどでは見かけなかった気がします。今回は450gを購入。長く大村屋に馴染んでいたので、ひと味違う感じがしないでもない。でも其々の好みや、胡麻の持ち味などにもよりけりで、自分で作る手間暇を考えると、有難く頂けて十分に思いました。パンに塗っても美味しい。
