Excellent value for money
First, just to clarify something for anyone puzzled by the product name: 'MasterLock 3112E Lashing Strap with Zamac Plastic Buckle'. It’s a Master Lock cargo lashing strap, product number 3112EURDAT, and is listed as such on Master Lock's European website. The buckle is neither made from ZAMAC (a lightweight metal alloy) nor plastic. I have no idea where that came from, though many retailers seem to use the term. The buckle is in fact made from steel, as you’d expect. While it's true that it's a little fiddly to feed the strap through the buckle, it's not that difficult. You will be able to see on the product photograph that there's a curved arrow on the side with 'FEED WEB' which makes it clear what you're supposed to do: you push the webbing up through the base and out of the front. As with similar buckles, it's a simple spring-loaded toothed clamp that prevents the webbing from being pulled backwards until you press down on the release lever, rather than being the more elaborate ratchet action types used if you need to pull it especially taut. The packaging claims it has a 150kg load capacity and a 300kg breaking strain - figures I can't verify, but it seems to be very sturdy, and it's certainly good enough for my purposes. Not can I comment on its durability, but again it seems fine so far. I certainly have no argument about its quality for a price of under £5.

Difficult to use until you get the hang of it.
Master lashing strap. The strap is good quality but very difficult to use. The spring is very hard to press and your fingers get in the way of the slot where you feed the strap through. However once you get the hang of it, it’s a very good strap.

Webbing to soft to feed through the buckle
The webbing is to soft to feed through the buckle. I cut a plastic zip tie & taped it to the end, trimmed into a vee to be able to feed it through the buckle. Other than that its fine.

Not plastic buckle
I have no idea why this is adversitied as having a plastic buckle as it is clearly metal. I specifically bought this as it said plastic but don’t have the time to return it so it will have to do. The product itself is of good quality though.

the best strap on the market at the moment
ive had a 2 pack set of these for over 3 years now and they still are in great shape after being used outside on a daily basis. One note of Warning, check with your supplier that you are getting the exact same as what is on the photo, silver buckle- i recently wanted to buy more but the mASTERLOCK buckle has changed to a different design, black colour , its very hard to fasten up and is not the same

Masterlock Lashing Strap
Good product, although the thinness of the strap means that it is not as user-friendly as some of the thicker heavier duty straps.
