Great value!
Great product for this price point. Bought one for my son and I for a Boundary Waters trip. Performed admirably. Handles everywhere!! Waist belt is a back saver. We love our packs and have even been using them on regular Boy Scout camps recently. Definitely recommend.

Good Value for the Price
Used this pack once a few weeks ago for a canoe-backpack camping. It performed well. It does not seem to have the durability of a Duluth Pack, but I also paid much less for it. Features were fairly user friendly. Straps offered good ergonomic adjustment of load for decent comfort carrying pack. I have only to minor complaints:1)The chest or sternum strap has minimal adjustments and has an elastic section, so it really doesn't offer much support.2)There is a set of 3 loops along the sides of the pack to cinch external gear. 2 of the three straps (bottom 2) have adjustable 'buckles' or D-rings. The top (or third) loop is a fixed width, so it can't be loosened or tightened to adjust to different diamater loads. The two bed rolls we packed in worked great in these loops....except I couldn't get the top loop to open wide enough. I might try to home rigging on this to make it work.

Awesome Pack for a BWCAW Canoe Trip!
Loved this sizable pack for our BWCAW canoe trip. It was big enough for two peoples personal gear with lots of handles for lifting and exterior pockets for those things you need to get at during the day! I just may get another!!

Straps began to rip on the first trip
The only reason I'm giving this two stars (instead of one) is that I actually did make it through the trip and the bag is relatively inexpensive. I don't plan to go again any time soon, so I suppose in my particular situation, that I made out ok because the other options were 3 times the price. If you plan on multiple uses, this is not your bag. The shoulder and hip straps both started to tear halfway through our trip. Thankfully, they didn't completely detach and I made it home without having to drag the thing up a trail.

OK for the money
Size is 18 x 9 x 23, so more like 3700 ci. I just used this for a week on the Allagash River on Maine. When I got it, I could see that the fabric was a little lightweight, so I added some rivets at key stress points (shoulder strap attachments, grab handle attachments, and key body corners). I heard several pops of stitches here and there through the trip, but overall it held up well, no rips, dried fast. It will work as a lighter-duty bag, if you're the type of person who throws their bags in and out of the boat, this one is not for you. It has decent space, but really more like the size of a food pack. The pockets at the bottom are really not that useful, they are small, and snag on other items trying to get the pack in and out of the boat, I wound up leaving them empty after a couple days, I'm contemplating cutting them off. I used it as an equipment bag, it fits the twin-burner well but not a terrific amount of room after that. Was fine as equip bag for 2 people. So there you have it, hopefully you find the size info useful, I could not find anything on the size previously. The pic shows the pack next to a 7-gallon bucket for size comparison. I would buy another one if I was taking a group trip.

A feature rich pack that stands up
I don't write reviews on products until I have used it for a long period. I have used this pack for about six years. It has been on multiple canoe trips to BWCA, Algonquin and local weekend paddles. Firstoff, what this pack ISN'T. It is not as big of as heavy as a Deputy pack. I use my backpacking gear on canoe trips so this pack holds everything I need and is plenty big enough. It is plenty strong enough in pack material as well as buckles. I've never had any failures of any kind. My favorite features are multiple grab handles; no matter how the pack is laying in the canoe there is a handle on top whether it's on the top flap, the bottom of between the shoulder straps. The bottle holders on the belt with draw strings are great as well. The best thing though is how well it rides when carried. It fits more like a backpacking pack than a big bag with shoulder straps. The hip belt is great and it has a sternum strap to boot. All around a great pack for the price.
