We got 3 things from this collection. The listings are combined so I'll cover all 3 here.1. Large marble plates... they're really quite beautiful looking. Very realistic. They are, however, not so large. They might be larger than the dessert plate, but not by much. I would use these for a fruit and cheese, or maybe salad, but by no means will these work for an average dinner.They're also not so strong. Not flimsy, but nothing near Chinet's press board, for example.2. Gold straws... great looking as well, but don't hold up very long. I drink cran-grape, watered down 50/50. Within 20 mins there was a noticeable difference in stiffness. By 2 hours the part in the liquid was mush. It mostly still functioned, but I didn't want to have to fish out bits of paper so I gave up on it.That's not terrible for some quick use, but it won't cut it for one of our whole-family BBQs that go 4 to 6 hrs.3. Rainbow striped napkins... these are just 'decent' to me. 2 ply, but the only bonding is done with embossing at circle 'corners', so the layers can separate pretty easily.BBQ ribs in my test of choice for napkins. There are types that are a texture that make them more sticky than the sauce, and if they're also weak, they'll pull apart easily. These didn't pass my BBQ test. 'Flakes' come off as I wipe the sauce off my fingers, sort of shredding, leaving bits of napkin. For other foods, though, they did ok.The circle is a fun, uncommon shape, and the colors are nicely picnic-y to me. They're just not very absorbant and not very strong.---I dig the uncommon designs and finishes, they're great, but the quality and functionality is just not there for me. I'm going with 2 stars.One note - I don't see any info about them being bio-degradable, recycleable, or compostable. I would have assumed that would be the reason for them being made of paper, but maybe the finishes preclude them from that. These are really striking napkins. I hosted a bridal shower at my house and saved these in case we ran out of the more bridal themed napkins. When I showed my mother and aunt, they both said that these were "too nice" for the shower! I ended up using them for another summer party at our house, and used a few that were left behind for a book club meeting - and received compliments on them at both events. They unfold into a circle (which completely charmed one of our guests), and the bright color combination means that they are versatile enough to be used for a variety of events and times of year without clashing. I really am happy with them and would definitely use them again!

I have noticed that a lot of the Sugar & Cloths products are accidentally getting their reviews appearing under the wrong products so to be clear, this is a review for the 32 piece napkins multicolor, in rainbow stripes.This napkins are gorgeous. The shape is unusual - they are not square but a quarter round shape; 7.5 inch round and 1/4 fold. I have never seen anything like them and I can’t wait to use them for my next book club. It’s not the colors - although the striped is fine - it’s their shape that has me sold.Beautiful. Each napkin is soft, absorbs a lot and large to boot, thus practical.Recommended,

These napkins are brightly colored and beautiful. They are also very durable. Thicker than I expected them to be. Somewhere perfectly in the middle between too crisp and too soft-feeling. I used them for a birthday party recently and they really jazzed things up (I didn't do much in way of planning a theme :)) I've never used anything from this brand and am very impressed. I will look into their other party items in the future. Very pleased with the quality, and also the quantity. There's 30 in the pack. They're a good value for party napkins.

These are colorful quarter moon shaped PAPER napkins. For some reason, because I saw the name Sugar and Cloth, I thought these were cloth napkins.I was careful opening them as the package was quite specific about how they were to be opened. I noticed a couple had slightly torn edges but in the scheme of things, they were okay.I chose them because they looked like fun cloth napkins - they turned out to be okay paper napkins.
