AAR Practice Chanter Reeds 6 Pcs - Bagpipe Chanter Reeds - C Major - Cane

I’m not accomplished at bag pipes and have owned my chanter for an embarrassing amount of time (from NYPD to FDNY) and retirement. I picked it up again to find my reed gone! For the love of God where did I put it now? Thankfully Amazon carried them and at a handsome price! When they came it was time to hit the scale placing my fingers on the appointed openings and blowing I thought of that low G sound it should have made! You would have thought I goosed a duck, and it wasn’t happy! Must be my finger placement. After 15 minutes of squeal and shriek it was time to put it away for another decade! I had gone to a department function and caught up with an old friend band member and kinda mentioned how the new plastic reeds aren’t worth the powder to blow em to you know where! Did ya get the dental rubber bands? I haven’t had braces for 60 years! No ya lummox you put it on the reed and adjust it to the sound you like! So that’s where I am! I believe they may work Weather I’m capable of accomplishing it remains to be seen but the problem isn’t the reeds!Good price! Extra reeds!How do you get to Carnegie Hall?Practice Practice Practice

These are cheap plastic reeds, a kazoo would be better. Any wood wind musician would be pissed off at this junk.

Decent practice chanter reeds for beginners and advanced players. They tend to take a bit of air, but my students get used to them eventually. These are much better than some of the other brands I've used (but can't seem to recall the name brands of).

You absolutely don’t need my review. They sound so good. I don’t know what you did to this lil’ plastic chip, but they simply sail me to the Ness lake... Also I used to have problems with air passing before since I got my previous practice chanter reed for free (Probably made with no passion), but now since I have no such problem, I could play medium difficulty songs like “The Black Bear”.These reeds are just too soft to resist my bagpipe newbie breath :p
