It's Wood and wood'nt that feel better to you.
You can buy a plastic version at half the cost but you will find this choice 'wood' be far far better.Works perfectly for all my favorite size books and will handle cook books with no problem. Foldingfor slipping into a case or a drawer is a plus.

It's really comfortable. I hurt my neck while studying and this helps. It can go down so low you can put your laptop on too!!

Best $14 I’ve ever spent
I bought this to hold my giant textbooks as I read and take notes. Definitely worth the money. I just received it so we’ll see how it holds up after some abuse, but so far I love how it looks and it works well.
