KalaBrand Music Co., 4-String Ukulele, Natural, Concert (KA-15C)

This thing is great! I’m a musician with about 10yrs experience, and bought as a gift for my girlfriend who is new to playing. When we took it out of the box, I tuned it up and played around on it a little bit, and it is great! Even with it having brand new strings, it stays in tune very well, and has very good intonation throughout the range of the instrument. The machine heads are great, and are a massive improvement from the standard Makala ones (I have 2 Makala Ukes). Finish is great, but had minor scratching when it arrived. Arrived in great shape, (minus the scratches, but that’s probably a manufactures defect) and it felt like it was packaged well. Overall, it would be a great ukulele to start on, and a great ukulele to get as a gift or for a solid backup ukulele to someone who already has one. I couldn’t recommend this enough, especially for this price point.

I've played the piano for many years, but have always wanted to learn a stringed instrument. So I chose the ukulele, due to its smaller size and only having four strings. The Kala KA-15C sounds good - not cheap. The concert size is perfect for me at this stage of learning, but I can see that I will probably get a tenor ukulele sometime in the future. I will say that the new strings DO stretch, and you WILL be tuning it every few minutes for the first couple of weeks of playing it. After that, you can generally go about 15 minutes or so of playing before you need to adjust the tuning. So don't think your instrument is defective; it simply takes a couple of weeks for the strings to settle. And get a digital tuner - they aren't expensive and make tuning the ukulele very easy. I also added strap buttons and a strap, because as a beginner I was struggling to change chords and hold the end of the ukulele up at the same time. A strap makes changing chords (for me) so much easier. But all in all, I am pleased with the decision to purchase the Kala KA-15C as my first ukulele. It is so much fun!

The color is different from the photo of the announcement (it's all brown) but is much better this way in my opinion! It's my first time trying Uke, I play some basic/intermediate guitar, so it's been very easy to learn!So far, I really like it, the concert is a great size, it's very light and it sounds great.

Absolutely love mine, I love the sound and look and for a pretty reasonable price. If you have a bigget budget than there are always better ones of course, but in this price range this is a solid option

This is a great ukulele!! Has a really great sound, very beautiful, I love it. Confused as to why people are complaining that it doesn't stay in tune..in my experience a lot of new instruments don't stay in tune very long, you have to constantly retune them. But once you've had it for a couple of weeks, it'll stay in tune just fine. That's the case for this ukulele. Overall highly recommend this ukulele!!

I bought thus ukulele from Casico Inc., as a used floor model in 'very good' condition. It arrived early, and is in pristine condition. It has a lovely sound, and a pretty good feel. I'm still learning, but I'm glad I got this instrument to learn on. I'll also be purchasing from this company again when I'm ready to get another ukulele.

This is a gorgeous ukulele. The image on Amazon does it no justice at all. The mahogany is beautiful, complimented nicely by the lighter walnut fretboard. In my picture you can see the design around the soundhole.For reference since the listing doesn't really have any details: it comes with Aquila Supernylgut strings, a Graphtech NuBone nut, and open gear tuners.It sounds great, plays great, looks great. A Kala this nice for this price is a great deal.

It looks totally different than pictures, and even different than previous customer uploaded pictures, I’m not sure if the seller sent me the wrong one. And it does not stay in tune, need to adjust every 10 mins, which didnt happen on my previous ukelele. Already started return.

Great Ukelele for beginners, you might wanna buy a case tho

This is a pretty flimsy instrument. Nylon strings. Looks nice, it is very light, frets are a little too shallow in my opinion.I was expecting something a little more robust for the money. Almost feels like balsa wood, not Mahogany.Overall, not impressed. This was not a purchase for me. I would have returned it if it was.
