No :( it’s not big enough for books, a journal yes.

Q: What is the strap length? I’m a larger chested plus size girlie and I wanna make sure it will fit crossbody!

The strap is not very long and the bag hugs close to the chest, so I don’t think you’d like it.

Q: Is the bag washable by hand or in machine?

I think it would be fine either way, I haven’t tried to wash it yet, but the material seems to be washable.

It came in a bag but I don’t remember if it had a tag.
