Vogue 100: A Century of Style

I love a glossy book but once opened and looked at, they often gather dust. This beauty from Vogue offers so much more. I bought my first Vogue in 1987 - Christy Turlington was on the cover, and so my love for the ultimate style bible began. Firstly, the cover is a brilliant reflection of what is inside - where else but Vogue could you find such a superb image? The book itself features not just fashion history from the past century but social and cultural signposts. Prominent designers, photographers, models and famous faces are documented and the quantity of the print is beautiful. I particularly enjoyed the more recent history of Vogue under the stewardship of editor Alexandra Shulman - it will be interesting to see what the next chapter will be. In this era of online communications, Vogue is still the best way of encountering aspirational style, and this book is a great purchase for anyone who simply loves fashion. I might not be here in 100 years to see what happens next, but I have no doubt Vogue will still be here....

Stunning book. Sits on the diningroom table and gets read piece by piece. Good quality, great history and a must for fashion buffs! Too heavy to carry back from London in my suitcase, so bought it online and it arrived in cellophane without a dent. PERFECT.

I was originally going to buy this from the NPG when I went to visit the Vogue 100 Exhibition, but Amazon had an offer on. Even with the discount I think this book is definitely worth full price- if not more than the RRP. Gorgeous images and great history- it mimics the exhibition so you can have a piece of history at home. A definite collectors item!

A pretty good collection of pictures to get into 'the Fashion world'

Such a lovely hard cover book with stunning photographs and well written pieces for each era. My 8 year old daughter is into designing, so as this government is now scrapping A level Art History I thought I better do some home teaching to keep her fired up! I recommend this book to either design students or lovers of beautiful clothes and images.

Purchased this book after attending the Vogue 100 Exhibition at The National Portrait Gallery (tickets shown). It is an amazing photo book with high-quality pictures throughout and a great reference for creatives. It is also great value through Amazon - costs much less than at the Exhibition Shop. Would definitely recommend!

Absolutely love this book, offering a fantastic insight into the history of British Vogue with wonderful photographs. No damage,and came in pristine condition. I would recommend this to anyone interested in photography or fashion.

This is a superb 'art meets recollection meets social history' retrospective. I enjoyed the exhibition and this adds more content and evokes good memories. It also has got me to investigate the lost photographers...if you only do one..make it Clifford Coffin...
