Coloratura Arias For Soprano - Accompaniment CDs - G. Schirmer Opera Anthology

This accompaniment CD is a great resource to go along with the aria book. The CD tracks are clearly labeled in the book. The tracks are wonderfully played and easy to follow along with the aria book. In some of the arias, the pianist plays some of the vocal part when the vocal part does not have music underneath it. There's also an "Amazing Slow Downer" in which the tempo of an aria can be adjusted to fit the singers tempo through the computer!! The pianist gives pauses for cadenzas and fermatas. There is also a nice biography about the pianist. This book also has a case for the CDs. This is an amazing money and time saver. Save time and money without having to find a pianist and record them!

I have used these CDs as a performer to rehearse and have found them very useful. It can be hard to use these since arias can change based on the singers choices. Most of these arias have cadenzas which are hard to do with a cd.

Very good and solid. I love the accompanist's interpretation. Of course, every singer has a different way to sing. In average he is a good accompanist. He knows the arias very well. Thank you so much. I am enjoying singing with this CD!

This book is great. Has plenty of songs. Definitely for high range voices. I hope I am able to use this book several times in future.

disappointed usually backing tracks in books come with sheet music and the backing tracks and for the price I expected both. It was only backing tracks.

No issues

The CDs came in good condition and worked fine. I ended up returning them because I had been intending to buy the sheet music (and was thinking that the sheet music was included with these CDs, which it is not) but as that had no bearing on the quality of the actual product, I'm still giving 5 stars.

I found singing to the cd's very helpful when I was trying to learn some of these fantastic aria's. It was very challenging to sing too unless you knew the song very well but that is what makes it a great product. I love the fact that I can pick a song and learn it and then practice it in the comfort of my own home so that I can get the extra practice. It's like singing to a professional Karaoke track just without the words on the screen. It is perfect for preparing for a concert. Since I can no play piano I found it the perfect practicing tool.
