These locks make putting up your bimini top so much simpler. I put these on the rear supports for my Bimini top. I used to need to pull a pin that was very hard to get at with how my top is mounted. These let me just push a button, and the support pops out of the base. Putting it up is just as easy just put the support in the base, press, and it locks in (spring loaded). It makes it super easy. my boat only gets to 30 mph, but I suspect they will be OK at much higher speeds. They are firmly locked in. They are also made from nice heavy metal. I didn't suspect they would break. So far, I have used them in salt and fresh water. No corrosion was noted.One thing I like is the profile of the base. The base doesn't catch on anything when I am not using the top. That is a super plus when fishing.I am going to buy them for the main supports.

Love the design however the screws rattled out and have now lost 2 of the removable brackets with no way of replacing just the lost part.

I'm finishing the restoraton of a 1957 wooden runabout, and it has the original canvas bimini top. Normally, you have 3 options for where the top goes: 1) it's deployed and snapped onto the top of the windshield, 2) it's collapsed and lying across the dashboard, partially blocking your view, or 3) it's collapsed and flipped back, blocking passage between the rear of the boat and the helm, generally getting in the way. I wanted something that would allow me to remove the top easily, yet be secure when I need it to work.These bimini hinges are doing great. I was confused at first, because I thought they operated by pushing the button down, but you actually slide the button to release the hinge yoke. This makes it much harder to trigger by accident, yet it's still very easy to operate when you're doing it deliberately.The finish is highly polished, and they look great. Recommended item!

These are 2 deck hinges for your bimini top. They are solid 315 stainless steel, so should fare well in salt or fresh water. They appear to be well made and should last for many years.
