i gifted these to my 8 year old nephew for Christmas and he loved them! he let his uncle try them out too, so one of them got broken... but that uncle has always broken things so uncertain whether it's a product fault, or.... not sure! maybe the feedback is these could be a little sturdier?

This was a fun purchase. For each individual hand, there are really two separate parts. There is a very thin, very cheap (but serviceable) black glove. (It really is paper thin.) Once you've donned the glove, you grip the claws and secure a velcro scrap around your wrist. Then, when you pull the levers that you grip between your fingers, the claws spring out. Our children have had fun with it and it would go well with the appropriate costume.A couple of additional remarks. (1) As anyone can see from the listing, these don't closely resemble the claws Wolverine (from the X-Men) has. But they are good enough for the price point. (2) You retract each claw manually by pushing it in until it catches. It doesn't catch easily or reliably, but it is not hard and doesn't take so much time as to induce frustration. (3) I don't know how long these will last until they break. They don't seem terribly sturdy. But who knows.

My son LOVES Wolverine and the claws he wants are extremely expensive so these seemed like a decent priced sub.SO far, they have done well but I just don't know how long they will last. The "black gloves" are so cheap and thin and way too easy to tear. We already have a small hole in one and it's just continuing to grow.LOVE the fact that the claws can retract but hate how they have to be manually pushed in and like another reviewer said. they don't catch on the first push.For role playing like my kids do... this is perfect.

I got these for a New Year's Eve party I was attending that was "Post Apocalyptic" themed. I used just one on my left hand as a "blade glove" and they worked great. They were a little tight on my large hands, but in the end, they did the job just fine. The blades can be popped out and pushed back in, the build quality was good (for a costume piece), and they were lots of fun to play with throughout the night.

Exactly as pictured and perfect for a 10 year old who loves Marvel comics! Safe as well, not actual sharp knives of course!

My almost 6 year old loves to dress up in super hero costumes and these are perfect for dress up and play time!

I got these for one of my boys, he loves them. The main issue with the toy is that the claws/blades dislodge quite easily, and take a hard push to a stick back into their compartment. Otherwise a decent item.
