When I bought my current iPad back in 2016, I ended up also shelling out a stupid amount of money for what I thought would be a decent screen protector with it, but actually ended up being a 3 fold covering that unfolds just over the screen. Any kind of drop on the ipad and it was likely to just fall away and have the screen get smashed anyway. Either that, or it would break the screen from any impact on the rest of the unprotected device.The covering I'm reviewing here is a 3 part assembly that completely surrounds the device and is both quick, and painless to actually fit. That's always a bonus when you're a bit fat-fingered, like myself.I've used kits very similar to this at work, where we had multiple devices in use by outdoors teams, and needed them protected from the inevitable dropping off dashboards, ramming into glove boxes, or just thrown to colleagues who can't catch. Mostly these devices survive to this day because of the protection these give around the iPads, but the main concern I have is the lack of screen covering itself. This kit borders the screen, so you have some protection if it hits the ground dead flat, or on any of its corners. But, should it fall onto something that's smaller than the borders protecting around the screen, then you're still going to probably break the glass.I know you can't count on any kind of protection to guarantee safety from accidental damage but it just seems like it would be too easy to still break a device that way, regardless of this kit being on or off.Now I'm not going to fib and say I tried dropping my iPad a few times to make sure that the protection is good enough, but I'm reliably advised by work colleagues that the usual drops and knocks, outside of direct to the screen area, haven't caused any damage. That to me is enough to say that the protection does work and is worth investing in. Just watch out for the glass screen, or maybe get some kind of covering for that which will still work with swipe movements.

There is no doubt that this case is taking its shockproof job seriously.Installation can be a bit tricky, the first attempt was upside down and un-clicking the shell was a bit of a faff.Once done, everything clicks into place and all the ports are easily accessible.The case does add a fair bit of size and weight to the iPad, but that is an acceptable tradeoff when the Granddaughter gets hold of it!The design choice for the stand is also a bit of a weird choice as it can only be used in landscape orientation. Although this is fine for watching video, I also like to have the device stood up in portrait mode when reading an ebook or browsing the web, this case does not allow you to do that.I also found that the rubber back won't stay in place around the front bezel, meaning I'm constantly pushing it back down and picking the device up by the edges feels like the inner frame might pop out from the rubber.For £18 I would have liked the design to be a bit better thought out, especially the stand.Overall not the best case I've tried, but it will suffice for now.

Plastic doesn’t fit together very well, silicone cover keeps coming off every time my son plays on the iPad. Not great quality.

I have had the usual wallet-type cases on phones and tablets before but this case is by far the best I have seen.It comes in 3 pieces - the front and rear plastic mounts and a silicone cover - which are really easy to assemble.The instructions are so simple and straightforward it only needs a few photos to explain how to fit it!It is a perfect fit, as you’d expect, and leaves all of the iPad controls accessible. The silicone cover means that it is also effectively non-slip, so even without the built in legs you can safely prop it up on something and it won’t slide off.It took me about 5 minutes from opening the bag to completing the fitting, and I wasn’t exactly rushing!Get all of the pieces ready, slide your iPad into the back, clip on the front, making sure all of the tabs are engaged (it’s push fit, so no drama there) then wrap the silicone cover on, taking care to get it into the slots around the edge of the case for snugness and security.Job done.A great case, well made and easy to fit. Other colours are available, but I liked the blue.

Due to the design of this case, I thought it would be suitable for children, but I don’t think it is. Firstly it’s difficult to get on, when trying to align the clips. And then the silicon body wraps around the plastic. The problem is that it’s not very secure, and young kids will peel the silicon off easily.Also it has two fold out feet at the rear, however these are not very easy to pull out, especially for younger kids.I wouldn’t therefore recommend this for younger kids.

This is good quality and durable tablet cover. My son love Spider-Man and he really likes this tablet cover. Have stand at the back to easily watch cartoon on it. Price is reasonable.
