Wish I read the review before purchasing
Lid doesn't seal. Not good for fermenting.

Not good for fermentation
The lids are no where near airtight. There should be a gasket under the lid that would create a seal. It’s been 3 days since I started this batch and it’s active inside, but leaking out under the lid and no airlock activity.

Good enough... but worth finding something better
It's a fermenting bucket. To put it plainly, it does it's job. In combination with an airlock it keeps the bugs out...... HOWEVER, it is not air-tight (not the most important, IF you use it ONLY as a primary fermenting vessel). The lid allows air to leak out a long the rim. It is also super tough to remove my airlocks from its rubber gasket. It's almost as if the gasket shrunk around my airlocks. So far I have not been able to remove my airlocks without them snapping and breaking. I'll be looking for a higher quality fermenting bucket in the future. Not purchasing this product again. Now I have to spend more hard earned money to buy ANOTHER bucket AND airlocks. In my experience it was a BAD investment.

Lid does not seal properly
Bought this product, it is terrible for fermentation, the lid does not properly close and thus air is leaking in and nothing ferments correctly.0/10 would not recommend

I wish you could close the hole in the lid.
These buckets are on the thinner end and not what I was expecting. I intended to use these for fermenting, however I wish the little vent hole on the lid could be closed if you wanted the option due to bugs getting in, etc. I’m going to use these for reclaiming my pottery clay. For the price, they are not the quality that I was expecting.

Bucket Lids Dont Seal
Bucket Lids Dont Seal. Airlock doesn't bubble because gasses can escape and enter fermenter from around the rim.

DO NOT BUY PLEASE
Literally the worst buckets ever for brewing do not buy them they do not work at all just buy a 5 gallon bucket and drill the hole to make your own fermenter its easy and cheap. Also these buckets made me lost 12 gallons of cider so I'm obviously pissed at that as well. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT BUY THESE!!!
