a very cute light read
I really enjoyed this book and the muscular black woman representation. I’m also happy that a problem in the first book was addressed which was the whole gambling saga. I like how it was handled. I enjoyed Sam and Aderyn’s romance. I will say at some points I was confused if the audience wanted to keep Finn and Naomi’s relationship a secret with how they had the other characters referring to her as their roommate and not his girlfriend but like by the end decided they wanted us to know. I guess for people that hadn’t read the first book but overall a very cute read.

I LOVE THIS
I was excited to read this book after reading the first in the series and i’ve got to say it did NOT disappoint.Aderyn was a breath of fresh air for me. To see a Black woman so devoted to her sports ambitions and equally so invested in finding true love was special. And the way in which Sam complimented her (as a partner) was great. I didn’t feel as though Aderyn or Sam became watered down around each other. Instead they shone even brighter. Can’t wait for the next book.

There's no I in team
Have you ever read a book so good that you were sad that it was over? I really enjoyed the banter between Sam and Aderyn. This story made me feel a lot of different emotions. I felt like I was Sam sometimes and then I felt like I was Aderyn. The ending was bittersweet in a way. Once you read it you'll see. Can't wait to read more from this series. So far it's all been amazing. Deanna is a great writer. You genuinely care about the characters. I've never felt that way before and I've read a lot of books. Check it out.

Such a good light read
After reading Sunny Disposition, I knew I had to immediately pick up Team Players. I’m currently obsessed with College Hockey Romances and was thrilled to read a BIPOC hockey romance series. I loved Aderyn from the beginning. Even though she had insecurities she was struggling with, she was also sure of herself and didn’t shy away from her strength and who she was. She was very self aware of her own issues in her past relationships, and although it seemed like she would immediately lose their bet, she pushed on and surprised me.What I didn’t expect was to love Sam so much 😍 I thought for sure he’d be just the cocky playboy athlete, but he surprised me too. They were so good together and I’m so glad they finally started communicating how they actually felt. Wish there were more books in this series! I would love to see more of Lincoln and Henrick.

Aderyn is perfection!
I wanted to like this so much. I LOVED Sunny Disposition. Finn and Naomi were great! And separately, Aderyn and Sam were great! Even together, Aderyn and Sam were great. I actually really liked how they played off of one another, and they both, in equal turns, made each other more playful and more serious. As the situation called for it.I just wasn't really rooting for them as much? IDK, something happened like 40% in and I should have DNFd. Not anything specific that happened in the book. Something happened between my brain and the page and I just...wasn't as invested in what was going to happen. I was way more invested in the side characters and the cloak and dagger aspects of the plot. But they were kind of few and far between. But I do love Aderyn. She is awesome! She's the super strong, super athletic woman who has her insecurities but still walks through life determined to claim her space. And I was all the way here for that.

Really Cute
I loved this book it was such a wholesome love story and it showed the struggle of being a woman in sports. Very well written in my mind this is a tv series like “Spinning Out” on Netflix so (ahem somebody make it happen). Wont disappoint
