Good seller support. They helped me put it together
The main body assembly is easy enough to put together but there's a couple of charging points on it and the instructions aren't very clear about one of them. There's a usb c lead coming from the lid of the unit that isn't in the instructions and I couldn't figure out where it plugged into. However the seller very kindly and very quickly sent me a photo showing where the lead goes. It plugs into the socket underneath the antenna. There's a charging point inside the top of the camera unit which is a bit fiddly to get to And that's where the power button also is. This is explained in the instructions. You need to pull back the rubber cover to access them. There's also a slot for an SD card which I haven't tried yetIf you want to take advantage of the species identifier you have to sign up for the subscription and there is a cost for that. The unit itself works via radio frequencyThe main base is plastic and is fitted with screws to brick or concrete or there's a thick strap for attaching to a tree and O rings for attaching to pipes. All of these are provided. The main body slides onto the base once the base is fixed in place but it is extremely stiff to slide on. To remove the main body from the base for cleaning you pull back a small plastic ring under the base (shown in my photo) This is a bit stiff and awkward to get at and so far I haven't managed to get it off the base. Perhaps it's just me having clumsy thumbs and perhaps it'll losen a little over time with useAll the other attachments fit in easily enough and are sturdyAll in all the unit is quite solidly made. It's quite heavy and all the fittings are included as well as a seperate charging cable. It does seem a little expensive but I suppose with a camera included that would increase the cost. If you are a lover of birds and love to watch them closely you will like this bird feeder a lotThe seller does give excellent customer support so you don't have to worry about being left on your own if you have a problem. They responded to and resolved my problem very quickly and efficiently. They are happy to help if you need it and they are quick to reply and to me that is important

Can't wait for the summer
This was such a simple feeder to set up it connected to my phone easily and the picture is so clearI already have a similar feeder set up one side of my house so got this one to go to the bottom of my garden.Unfortunately it hasn't had alot of visitors over the winter months and hasn't had the best light to keep it fully charged because of the early dark night. But I think as the spring summer sets in it will be amazing it is starting to pick up.I dont need to keep the feeder near a window where my cats will scare birds off and my son is finding it fascination watching the few birds we have had visitSeems strong and hard wearing easy to fasten up using the bracket provided. A few screws to fix in place and we are rolling.

Nice Idea For Bird Lovers
If you are a lover of birds, and you like to watch them on the bird table, this is the next up. You could get up close and personal by recording the activity on your smart phone. The bird feeder seems strong enough, but I personally didn't like how plasticky it is, that being said, it will make it easier to clean, and better suited to the British weather. The bird feeder has a camera mounded in it (IP65 Waterproof), but you will need to download the app and link it up in order to use it, this will require you to set up an account which I always find a bit annoying; I think you should just be able to pair to the app without another registration. I think the main reason is to encourage you to sign up to the cloud service, although using the free service is fine.Setting up the app was pretty simple once you had signed up though. This bird feeder connected about eight to ten metres on the WiFi, this wasn't quite far enough for where I wanted to mount the bird feeder, but it was still a pretty good distance. The kit comes with several attachments for various bird varieties, but some will be of little use, unless you regularly get humming birds in your garden 😉. I expect the feeder tray or the fruit forks will be enough in most situations. The solar panel is a nice idea to keep the camera topped up, but only time will tell how good it is. It has two way audio, so if you ever want to do a Doctor Doolittle and talk to the birds, you are sorted. It also has an alert that you can set off and one that will alert you when something is near to the camera.I like the fact that it has AI bird recognition, that's pretty cool. The video footage from the camera was acceptable, and would be better on a bright sunny day, I think that the price of £169.99 seems fair for this kind of item, especially with the current promotion of £30 off.

Love it!
I really like this bird feeder camera. It's well made - it looks and feels a decent quality product. I'm less keen on the purple roof, but that's really down to personal choice. Assembly was easy. I used the wall mounting kit, where everything needed for installation is included. There are attachments designed to accommodate different types of food that would attract many different types of birds, so you should be able to tailor it to attract birds in your locale. The container for seed is huge. Again very well made and keeps it all away from the camera.Setup of the camera was simple too. I already had the required Vicohome app, so it was very quick to get up and running. The picture quality is very good, I haven't managed to capture any birds as yet, but that's most likely down to the current weather.Overall a fantastic product that I'm looking forward to see what it captures from Spring onwards.
