Quality ingredients
This hair conditioner from SHIBUI falls in line quality wise to other salon brand hair care products. Not drug store ones. The ingredients are more eco conscience, thoughtful in having no harmful additives, and a higher tier quality in general. I like the fresh scent in this that is plant derived. It's not strong or long lasting, so you're preferred perfume won't clash with it.This does a great job at hydrating, detangling, and adding shine to my hair. Is it better than some of the other salon brands I've tried? Not really, BUT it's just as good, and with a more eco friendly approach to it's manufacturing. I totally love and support that!

Decent conditioner
I go through a lot of conditioner as my hair is dry and tangles easily. This conditioner is moisturizing and lightly scented and untangles your hair nicely in the shower, which is always a plus for me. For 12 oz bottle, this isn't cheap and I'm torn as to whether this product is any different than any other high end conditioner that I have. Overall though I'm happy with this product.

Great for Curls
Working with my natural kinky curly hair is very dependent on the products I use and how defined my curls end up. My hair is soft and feels moisturized, and after even applying my styling products, the curls are more defined and moisture rich than they have been with other products. And not to mention the scent to it is intoxicating! You don't need a ton. Just enough to coat your hair mid shaft to ends.

Good conditioner for color treated hair
I don’t have medium or coarse hair, but I’m always looking for conditioner to assist with my color treated hair that frizzes. Not as thick as I’m used to, the conditioner worked in nicely. I didn’t use a lot as I do have fine hair. It smelled fresh and had a pleasant scent. Washed out well without weighing down my hair which felt detangled. A quick blow dry, and I didn’t notice a lack of volume or flyaways, but I’m curious if it will assist the longer I use it. The scent was present, but not overwhelming. I also didn’t notice that my color was adversely affected, but again I will need continued use.

Feel good product
My wife uses this product, and she likes it. She said it smells good and has her hair feeling softer and fuller. This product is on the premium price end ($26 on Amazon), but my wife says the price of admission is worth it. The ingredients are vegetable/vegan based and ticks the animal cruelty free requirement that my wife looks for.The product listing / marketing mentions hyaluronic acid but that's not entirely accurate or uncommon in this industry. The actual ingredient (and this is mentioned in the page) is sodium hyaluronate, which is a derivative of hyaluronic acid. In terms of chemical structure, hyaluronic acid is an acidic mucopolysaccharide.Sodium hyaluronate is a type of salt of hyaluronic acid and 95% of the cosmetics out there today use this salt [Citation: Reynaud R., Scandolera A., Dinant C., Lefèvre F., Bourgon O. A new generation of oil-compatible hydrated HA. Pers. Care.]. Figured I'd include this part for clarity.

Shibui ultra hydrating conditioner
This comes in a standard sized bottle as far as conditioners go (12 fl oz). I like that it is cruelty/ paraben/ sulfate free. It has a very fresh, earthy floral scent. It doesn’t smell bad, I’m personally not a fan of the scent and it does linger in your hair. This formulation is advertised for coarse/ medium color treated hair, which I also happen to have (curly/ wavy/ poofy). It has a medium thickness, not too watery, not too heavy. I let my hair towel dry and then air dry after use. It did make my hair shiny, but it didn’t make it very soft or less frizzy unfortunately. It wasn’t the worst I’ve ever tried, or the best…just kind of “ehhh” in the middle.

Specifically for color-treated hair and contains hydrating ingredients
Shibui is known for including 4 specific ingredients in all of their products, including Vegan Tripeptides, Oat Oil, Bamboo Extract and Rice Seed Protein. Since I color my hair, I prefer using hair products like this that are specifically made for color-treated hair to prevent fading of my color. I like that it contains hydrating ingredients like Shea Butter and Hyluronic Acid. I have used many skincare products that contain Hyluronic Acid and I have recently been noticing it included in shampoos and conditioners too. Since it is an anti-aging, hydrating addition in skincare that has the ability to retain moisture, it makes sense that it be included in conditioners like this too. This is a more expensive conditioner, but is similar in price to the price of conditioner of other premium brands.

For medium to coarse hair
This conditioner is nicely scented. It is on the runnier rather than creamier side. It is pleasantly scented.
