Since its release in 1993, 20 million packs of EarPlanes have been sold. EarPlanes are made of soft, hypoallergenic silicone rubber that creates an airtight seal for the ear canal. The integrated ceramic filter slows down the Air Exchange Between The Inner Ear and the surrounding area. This catches strong pressure fluctuations and helps the ear to gradually become accustomed to the change in cabin pressure. Pressure on the eardrum and related pain and discomfort in the ear will be prevented.
