These are great, decent price and my car works much better now. Seems like replacing the pumps also helped my transmission's shifting lag. Not sure how but who cares.

Fuel Pump Replacement- My Notes
Replaced one of my fuel pumps on my 1987 Mercedes 560 SL Coupe. This pump fit perfectly and bolted right in. The only complaint I have is that Bosch should include two new crush washers for the fuel backflow valve end cap. I was a little nervous reusing the two old one but she fired right up and ran like a champ. I think it may have even fixed my idle issue I had before I replaced the pump. Word of caution! I drained fuel tank to make it easy. Crimping an older fuel line as shown on You Tube was not a good idea in my mind as the rubber hose was only an 1.5 inches long from the tank hard line. Also be sure to unhook your positive battery cable when ever working with fuel and electrical. No need to remove back tire. I jacked up the rear end and put safety jacks under for my own safety. Block tires well with 4x4's. or wheel chocks. Unhook electrical first than gas lines and than loosen pump and slide out. Electrical spade connections are two different sizes. Large one is the negative. Small one is the positive. That is the only thing I can say the German's made easy for this project. Use 17MM sockets, open end wrench and a 8MM box/open end. You will need a medium Philips driver for the hose connections and mounting bracket. Be sure to put rubber electrical grommets back over the terminals when complete. Good Luck and happy motoring!

This pump does not fit a 1995 S420 although the description says it does. You need the "Bosch 67968 Electric Fuel Pump" - this is is too large to fit the bracket.

EXCELLENT
These pumps saved my behind. Mercedes was crazy expensive...but two bosch pumps for 86 bucks a pop? What more do you want?? Remember if you own an sl500 or anything with a V8 you might need two of them. I thought I needed one on my sl500 but there was a second one hidden closer to the engine...and some mercedes have an extra pump in the gas tank itself. Best thing to do is call Mercedes dealership parts department with your vin # and check (don't tell them you're looking to buy one on amazon obviously haha). These pumps work perfectly. Thanks!

Bosch pumps
Not much to say about these pumps. I installed these on my '91 560 MB W126.039, with the M117.986 V8. Make a note that the late V8 cars require two pumps and the I6 gas cars utilize one. Probably something to do with the update of the CIS system around the '86 MY. Be sure to install a new filter while in there and inspect the supply as well as the return lines to the the tank. All are fairly reasonable considering the cost of the vehicle when new. New crush washers are obvious.Anyway, best price around by far plus they qualified for free shipping...what more do you want?If your pumps are noisy or have seized due to the car sitting, these are the ticket. Do not take the chance with used parts or inferior aftermarket crap out there currently.Hope it helps...

Great quality and super quiet
Exactly as the OEM part just directly from Bosch. Great quality and super quiet. My old pumps were really noisy and leaked so these were needed and perform perfect.
