We were so sad when our last auto grinder was dropped by a friend and shattered onto our kitchen floor. I took a good month to research and landed on this grinder for it's replacement. I am sad I didn't find it sooner! I love the style, shape, color choice, and ease of use switching from pepper to salt with a single hand.I look forward to purchasing more pods so we can add to the variety of the spices we can have fresh ground on hand.It really is an amazing system!

This item is great. It comes with two refillable inserts- changing from one to the other is so easy and fun! The grind is consistent, and really fast. I’ve had many battery grinders, but I have found my last one. Love it!

I purchased this spice grinder to prevent cross-contamination of spices I need to grind. I have used a coffee grinder to grind spices for years, but it cannot be submerged for cleaning. The separate pods for the FinaMill can be washed with water on the grinding surface and cleaned with a brush, making it ideal for my purposes. I used it for decorticated cardamom right away. The scent of that spice clings to the grinding wheels mildly even after washing, but all physical spice remnants are gone. So far so good. The next feature I looked for was the ability to adjust the grind, as I can do with my electric pepper grinders, but not the coffee grinder. The pods can be adjusted to either fine or coarse. I would like a third, medium adjustment, but the grinder cannot be that finely calibrated; regardless, changing the grind from coarse to fine is incredibly easy. Next, I like the power of the coffee grinder, which is corded. The FinaMill is battery powered. It struggled minimally with the cardamom, but finished the job quickly enough. Finally, the pods themselves: these are a great idea for eliminating cross-contamination, and ultimately, the reason I purchased this device. They are easy to fill and as easy to change as the video demonstrates. Super handy. BUT, and this is my biggest problem with this grinder, the grinding pods are open at the bottom, like any electric pepper mill. Because I ground cardamom for Swedish kardemummabullar, I needed 3 teaspoons, separated. Due to the design, I had to grind into a dish, pour into a smaller measuring cup, and try to get the correct amounts without measuring spoons (I have enough gadgets and dishes that this was possible, it just required extra steps and extra dishes to wash that could be avoided with the addition of a reservoir with measurement lines below the grinding mouth. That's why this "spice" grinder gets 4 stars instead of 5. The only spice I grind directly onto food is generally pepper. Everything else I grind gets measured. So as a general spice grinder, it falls just a little short.All that said, the cardamom buns were delicious, so I'll repeat this process. I do not regret the purchase and will buy more pods if I can find them without having to purchase an additional grinding motor.

The pepper is easy to load the the grinder works better and any one I have used and I have used a lot of different battery powered grinders over the past 15 years.

My wife loves this because It's easy to use, and it has replaceable batteries in it so you don't have to throw the entire thing in the garbage when the batteries no longer hold a charge! "Old School" is sometimes better!

This is the best pepper grinder I have ever liked. Works great.

The spices are ground and used directly, so the scent is very good. It is very convenient as it can be easily used by just pressing a button. The pepper grinds well, but the salt lumps don't grind well.

I have a good quality pepper mill but needed another grinder for salt and other spices. I received an email for this product from a food website I belong to, and it looked very interesting, so I came to Amazon to see if it was available here and to my great joy, it was! After doing a bit of research, I decided to order one and chose the red one as it had a $10 coupon to boot. As usual, my package arrived the next day and I quickly opened it and installed batteries and filled both pods, one with black peppercorns and the other with coarse kosher salt. Then I hit the button.Let me tell you, the awards are well deserved. I like the LED that lights up to show exactly where your spice is going, and this mill grinds FAST! And it only needs ONE hand, not two like most mills. But the pods are where it really shines. Having one spice mill that can so easily swap out one spice or salt for another, without having to clean it out or deal with cross-contamination, is a real game changer. If you enjoy cooking, and consider yourself to be a good cook, or just WANT to improve your cooking skills, you owe it to yourself to get one of these. It is one of those rare kitchen gadgets that will actually make a difference in your cooking. Now I will have to order a few extra pods because while the two pods it comes with are a great start, they are only a beginning to a long friendship with this FinaMill that I know will last for years to come. I just can't say enough good things about it. You will not regret buying one and if you have friends like mine, they will probably order one after seeing yours. I have two friends who already have!

Been using around a month and so far this is the best grinder ever owned, well worth the extra cost.Quick and easy to swap pods for salt, pepper or spice. The grind on pepper compared to other grinders owned is a 100 times better, not tried with spices yet but expect it to be just a good as salt and pepper.

Loved the fact that there were interchangeable pods for different spices. But, for the price paid, this spoiled way too fast. The portion with the batteries corroded really quickly.

It was great for 2 months. Now it doesn’t work. Was never wet and changed the batteries. I really like it and the company sent me a replacement promptly

Modern outlook; easy to use - just 1 button to operate. Lovely grinder :)
