Original starter took its last spin - this was a very inexpensive part can’t beat it for $80 bucks. Install was easy and the starter works great!!!

It was exactly as described and a perfect fit for my 2016 Escalade ESV. It is made very well, looked more sturdy than the factory starter I removed.

Item sent to me came in a damaged package, the starter itself looked fine. I install it and it turns out it’s defective. The fit was not matching the hole where the starter goes, about half an inch gap.I drive a 2018 Chevy Silverado.

I honestly rarely write reviews but they wanted 3 times the price of this starter at the local parts store. I gave it a chance and it's worked flawlessly so far. Looks like decent craftsmanship. Just remember to always buy a new starter relay pig tail when replacing any gm starter. No matter how careful you are the clip always breaks. So order one on amazon for $8 at the same time you buy a new starter. None of the parts stores carry it. Cheers

Went on a Canadian fishing trip and this worked great. I am not a season fisherman but this was easy to operate

I installed this on a 2015 silverado 1500 with a 5.3, and noticed that the original gear shroud was larger than the one on this starter, though gear location and the rest of the starter were identical. After installing, there was a quarter inch gap on the dust shield that wasn't there with the original. Now, in the grand scheme, this is no big deal, but it does allow more debris to enter the bell housing, which I'm not a fan of. Other than that, this unit work well enough
