Does what I purchased for.

I bought this to protect my wife. She suffers from dementia, and tries to medicate herself. I have a medicine dispenser that provides her medication at the proper times each day, but she forgets that I gave them to her.It is so spacious that I had room to store my medication as well. The piece of mind that comes with owning this is worth every penny. It’s very sturdy and attractive.

This is large and holds my aunt’s prescriptions as well as the otc meds she needs. She had to go to assisted living and this was the perfect box to keep her meds secure and safe. Great value!

The lock stop working properly

This locking box could be used for medications, or to hold valuable small treasures. It has reinforced metal corners so that the box won't break apart easily if someone tries to smash it or if you pack it in your luggage. It has plastic feet on all 4 corners so that it won't leave scratches on your bathroom counter. The handle is plastic so I wouldn't fill this with anything very heavy like collectible coins, in case it is too heavy for the handle to carry. For its intended use, this has a lot of good features like a plastic insert tray and a little cloth pouch on the underside of the lid, to hold things like small pill containers or individual bubble packs of cold tablets, for example. This would be a good addition to your household if you will have small children or pets or roommates around and would like to keep items secure and private. Of course the box is lightweight and could easily be carried off by anyone, so even though it locks it's not secure unless you're keeping it in a secure location.

Looking head on, with box latch to the front, the longest interior measurement of length, 9 3/8” is the maximum, but with left and right tray supports the max opening width is 8 5/8”. The width is 5”. Interior height is 5 7/8” without the tray and 3 5/8” from floor to tray bottom. There are small structural support pieces in the interior corners that reduce these numbers slightly. The tray has two openings at 4.25” x 2” and the big one is 4” length x 4.25” wide. The tray walls are about 1” high and the max headroom for something in the tray for the lid to close is 2.5”. If anything, measurements should be slightly greater than stated. The photo shows the tray upside down, just for measuring the opening.This box has the purpose of both organizing and securing items from friendly observation/pilferage/theft. Obviously a thief can walk out with any box this size or pry it open with common tools like a hammer and screwdriver. So put that aside.This box is attractive and professional looking. For its many purposes, it has good value in being the organized “goto” vault for whatever items are put in it, whether locked or not. There is a clear need for this organizing, with dozens of potential uses - From medical supplies, candy, prescription drugs, recreational drugs, bedside hardware, software, lubricants, body oils, diffuser oils in glass or plastic, jump drives, hard drives, phones, hand guns, ammunition, yada, yada. Picture anything a three year old can get and run through the house with, maybe present a guest with, while a parent/house sitter was in the bathroom for a few minutes. Yikes! Or that even a trusted housecleaner might find! Or if you end up in a hospital and someone needs to enter your place! This can help you get your…… stuff together! And you can…. “rest assured”.The next decision might be to get a keyed box or a combination. Know that a 3 number combination can be opened in 5-10 minutes, just by starting to try each possible number combination until it opens . How that compares to the ability to pick this lock on this box, I can’t say, but all else equal I prefer the key model if the keys can be secured. This is a nice box for not only a medical box, but also peace of mind and liability relief in organizing and securing a host of products while giving the appearances of being medical supplies. It can be your “trojan horse” as well as the workplace medical box.
