Working fine so far
I've had this charger for several days and it is working fine so far. The original charger that came with my Inspiron was a 90W charger and this one is only 65W, but the product page plainly states that, so I knew that was what I was ordering. It includes both the charger that plugs into the laptop and the cord that plugs into the wall, although the picture only shows the charger. Some reviews say that it is not a 3-prong (grounded) plug, but the one I received does have three prongs. There is a tiny spark when I plug it into the wall, but I'm not sure that should be a concern. I've had it to occasionally happen with other things. The charger gets warm while in use, but no more so than some other chargers do. The cord is not as long as the one that came with the computer, but it is long enough for my use. The product I ordered was fulfilled by amazon although shipped from another vendor. The price was low and so far it is working well, so no complaints.

Good for what you're paying
I got this for my laptop since the one it came with broke w while back, now this charger was great when i fist started using it.The pros to this product is that it does what it needs to do, it fulfills its purpose and it does as advertised. The problem that I had with it was that it wasn't very long before the end of the cord (the one that goes into the laptop) got a kink in it and it essentially did the same thing the old charger was doing.Maybe it was user error that caused the issue, maybe its just bad luck but for the price i would conciser buying a new one and just tape the end to avoid the cink from happening again

Causes problems with touch pad while charging and using Dell Inspirion laptop at the same time.
Bought this to replace the OEM charger for my Dell Inspiron 5050 laptop. The problem is, when this unit is plugged into laptop and you are working on the computer at the same time, it causes the touch pad to act erratically. Basically making the laptop unusable while charging. I googled the problem I was having, and sure enough, it's an unresolved issue with non OEM chargers, as far as I can tell. So I guess I'm going to have to go with an OEM charger if I want to use the laptop while recharging. Not worth it to mail back to Amazon for $11. So my search for a replacement continues...

Bad interference on the laptop's touchpad.
Though cheap and arrived quickly, I soon found that it creates interference to the laptop's touchpad. When I searched Internet, I saw that many people complain about touchpad working erratically, when using aftermarket power adapters.I checked the DC ground wire voltage, relative to Earth (AC power mains ground). A proper Dell branded adapter had 55V AC on it, as it's expected with two proper EMI filtering capacitors. This adapter had ground voltages all over the chart, which indicates that the manufacturer saved a few cents by not installing the filter capacitors. Bad, bad. The laptop's ground was floating with all kinds of induced high frequency noises, confusing the capacitive touchpad. Then interference becomes tolerable, though, when the laptop's battery is completely charged, so the power adapter doesn't have to run on full power.

Works, but with interference
In terms of how well the product works, its really great for the amount of money I spent. It charges my laptop with no problem. However, it produces a large spark when the adapter is plugged into the wall and produces interference with whatever is on the same circuit. I had it plugged in on the same circuit (not the same outlet) as my television and it created "snow" on the screen. And when I plugged it in in the same outlet as my radio, the static was unbearable and only decreased slightly when moved to a different outlet on the same circuit. So overall, it works great, but I'm terrified of plugging it in and it can be annoying when plugged in with certain electronics.

Beware, "third-party" seller, invalid warranty.
I was hesitant to leave a review for this until some time passed, and I'm glad I did.First and foremost, this is NOT a replacement, and it does NOT include a ground or phased plug connection (one blade wider than the other). It is a significantly lower quality device, it runs hot, and will fail.I ordered one in January 2013, it lasted 3 months, then stopped charging the device (maintained the battery, but would not charge it any higher than the current level). The vendor replaced this with zero questions.Three months later? Broke again, complete failure. The vendor now refuses to honor any warranty despite the fact I'm still in the 12 month window. I contacted Amazon and they responded that I have ZERO RECOURSE because this is NOT AN AMAZON vendor and is therefore NOT covered under A-Z Warranty Policy.Good luck with your purchase.

It did not work properly. Only allowed my laptop ...
I giving one star because I have to, but it really deserve none. I buy two charges thinking the price was worthy to have two, but neither one worked properly. These chargers only allowed my laptop to charge as long as it was connected. But then, my computer did not work at all because it did not charge enough. I ended up buy a third charge from a different seller. That one is working fine.
