Great
It’s a spine model. I would assume it’s accurate because I’m not a doctor and it looks like a spine to me. 10/10 definitely recommend to anyone in need of a spine model

Smaller than 'Life Size' for adult human. Probably more young teenager size.
Overall decent product. Thecal sac is cut up into segments you can see are separated. Size is not a full adult. Likely more of a young teenager size, but proportions are correct.Does not come off the base, screwed in. Going to look for a different model that can come off the base.

Scientific Lumbar Spine Model
This is a great tool for educating yourself (or others) about the lower spinal area. It has a nice base so it can be displayed on a desk or shelf. Would make a great classroom tool for science or anatomy classes.Reasonably priced for such a quality item.

Cool model, but not educational in itself
My son has a birth defect in his lumbar vertebrae, and I got this thinking it might be a good tool for educating him and myself on what that means, how his body is different, and so on. Given the description mentions how it’s good for students and classrooms, I really thought it would come with some kind of information pamphlet explaining the parts or at least a diagram helping you understand what each section is. I also thought there might be a guide on how to safely interact with the model, including things like cleaning, etc.Well, I got the model, and that was basically it. It’s a very nice-looking model. It’s a good size for a desk and conversation. However, I have no idea how to turn this into an educational tool for my son without pulling in a bunch of other resources, and I’m no expert. If you are already well-versed in the anatomy of the lumbar spine and how it interacts, this is probably a great item for you. If you’re still trying to learn, like me, this is probably not a great starting point.

Sturdy and realistic
This model is very realistic and sturdy! The base is a good size so it’s not likely to wobble or tip over. I would have liked it to have some range of motion, but it was pretty stiff and the individual vertebrae don’t really move at all. Overall it’s a great product!

Excellent all around spine model works terrific for yoga anatomy instruction
Overall: Recommended! This is a great way to get a visual of our wonderful spine in action. Seems very durable and well made and really helps get the point across of how intricate and amazingly designed our spine is. Cheers!

Nicely Made Model
I developed a keen interest in the lower spine when I was told I needed a level 4 - 5 fusion. While I have a vague recollection from biology classes decades ago, I decided a refresher course was in order. I found the anatomical models my Dr in his office to be quite interesting. So I ordered this model, and another smaller model, from NLShan. This comes with a display base, which is detachable. The plastic castings are detailed nicely and finished well. A metal rod holds the vertebrae, discs, spinal column and nerves together. The discs have a little bit of flex to them, and while I do not think the model was designed to flex much, it does show the movement around the facet joints. When talking to my Dr this model really helped me visualize what he was talking about. It also helps to explain to other people what was done. It has been of particular interest to friends who have had the same procedure. Photos above of are my level 4 - 5 fusion. Besides being a conversation piece, these will be pressed into service as decorations next Halloween!

Good as a Medical Display
Best used as a display, as it isn't easily detached and pretty firm. If it could detach from the base easily and is more flexible, I would use it as a study material/model as well. It does have a decent weight to it, so I wish the base was more heavy. The base is plastic and pretty thin. I had to add 4 rubber pieces to the bottom so it could sit better and not cause potential scrapes to the desk/table.
