Nexus Empire: Star Nexus (Book 1)

I'm amazed that this author can write so many fantastic novels, I hope that he never stops writing. His books are some of the best Entertainment  I have read and worth the time to read them. Thank you for a very fun entertaining read.

Non stop, on the edge of your seat, hair brained, crazy antics, convoluted, twisty, and sometimes downright stupidity. Setting aside the punctuation, this was a quick and fun read. I want to see how things progress.

Great start to the series! I like his way of interacting the cast of characters and making them feel like they are friends we are following! On to the next book!

Rating this was a struggle as it oscillated between 3 and 4 constantly, frequently dropping as low as 2 for a really stupid plot twist, occasionally jumping to a 4.5 or higher for a noble point. In the end, it settles out at 3, in part for the hanging ending and lack of any resolution plus the recurring stupid plot twists. Character and storyline development are minimal, and yet the story has some entertainment value. Could it be better? Yes, positively and perhaps we”ll find better in the next installment.

Interesting and fast paced adventure of space conflict and teamwork through alien conflict.Loved the action packed adventure of galactic wars.

This is a very interesting book to read. I was not able to put it down. I am looking forward to the next book in this series.

I was really looking forward to the book as it has a great premiss and the author writes very well in an easy to read pace. The problem is the main character and how he is portrayed. I honestly couldn't read past the first couple of chapters.The main character is supposed to be a combat veteran and a former member of the presidential detail. Yet he has no situational awareness in an unexpected combat environment, can't take the time to grab a couple extra mags for his borrowed pistol going into a combat situation. As a US Marine infantry vet, I found myself cringing, but figured things might get better. They did not.So here's a combat vet, former presidential detail, sci-fi junky who's been working for 18 years to get to space, what does he do when making first contact with obviously advanced aliens he knows nothing about? Begs to be taken back to Earth and offers big rewards, uh so you're going to lead advanced Aliens you met in a battle zone back to Earth where they and their advanced weapons will have the high ground over a planet that can barely lift a 5 man capsule into space?Yes, that's where I put this well crafted hunk of junk away.

What a humdinger of a book! Five stars all day long! Jason is ex soldier/special forces soldier and always dreamt of finding out the truth about ufo’s! He starts working in Area 51 and the story begins, funny, action packed with great characters! Highly recommended.

Thought a novel about Area 51 would be just up my street....but no. Turns out to be a comedy where all the green, 2 headed, 4 armed aliens all speak English and breathe normal air. Each planet has a breathable atmosphere. Struggled towards the end and gave up at 80%
