This car is fast heavy duty it rides like a champ but it comes from China so you have to check the gears when you get this car open up your gearboxes and fill it with the hundred thousand watt gear oil because when it travels across the ocean in there in a cargo plane it evaporates the oil when it comes to USA it sits in the storage place to tell you buy it you get it it runs about four times until it will go out you'll ruin your gear recommend open it when you get it put some gear fluid in there and then you can run it for 6 months no problem and you have no problems with it but when you get this car make sure you put gear oil in it you got to you just have to I open both of them I bought two cars I'm going to buy another car first one is down to buy parts for this car I went to the same person Holman Holman whatever the company was cuz I couldn't find it on Amazon well I did find him on Amazon but it was a month too late but I'm still going to purchase the parts for this vehicle I love this car too 80 miles an hour it's a champ his car is a bad car

I got into the hobby a year ago with Deerc and WLtoys........I upgraded both to brushless but after the purchase and upgrades I was at the price of an X17 with the discount($250 all in). For all who don't do research or are new to the hobby......the X17 is just a rebranded XLF F22A(now you know how to find parts and now you know that this car has been out for over 4 years) Once I learned that I pulled the trigger because I knew I could get parts from multiple website, plus the HOSIM site and Amazon. The way this hobby works is multiple companies over the years just piggy back off each other, or copy a design and rebrand it. The HOSIM X17 has flaws, it has fans, it has strong points and weak points but I could care less because I know how to work on RCs. Case and point my friend just dumped over $500 on a TRAXXASS product, broke it in a week and gave it to me to fix. I ended up upgrading his vehicle to the spec of the X17 switching his system to deansT and now he can grab two 2s/3s lipo batteries for the price of one TRAXXASS nimh battery. I have a $250 HOSIM that destroys his car and he still can't believe how much I paid for a metal chassis, arms, cups, hubs, axles and how cheap replacement parts are. As you can see in the pics I upgraded my X17 with WL hub extensions and DuraTrax Lockups........NO MORE BALLOONING FOR ME JUST PULL THE TRIGGER AND GRIP...........like I said earlier if you're new to the hobby or don't work on your own stuff, you'll have challenges. I already broke a diff cup, hub, axle and drive shaft....... another trick to save you if you don't want to wait a week to receive items from HOSIM. Measure you your parts and swing by your local hobby shop or match them up with XLF, REDCAT and WL parts, plus buy yourself a hex head screw kit and replace all the Phillips heads on the X17. I love this thing, the bad reviews help you determine what to fix or upgrade. By the way put a 20kg or higher servo in it, you'll thank me later.

I like how the motor and brain are air cooled and it seems a bit smaller than scale thats represented...the front end tirods seem to break easily on flips so i ordered extra but all n all a fun car....i bought extra batteries to avoid long charging times and a balance charger.....like i said the only issues so far is that hosim should update their linkages....they break easily

I really couldn't be happier with this 4x4 RC. Looks and handles great. Wrecked, rolled and tumbled it many many times. The only thing that broke was the body shell and headlight quit working but I was able to purchase another shell for $13. I reinforced the new body shell with shoe goo and drywall seam tape and it's holding up extremely well. I've not been able to find an original headlight replacement so I'm currently looking into an after market light. This RC is so much fun to run on asphalt, dry dirt, wet muddy dirt, gravel, mulch, low grass and even powers through high grass and weeds. Shocks are durable and handle jumps easily. I don't believe it's truly a 1:8 scale, however. More like a 1:10 scale but considering the durability, speed, power and price point, I can't complain. I recommend checking for loose screws and nuts every so often because I've had some come loose after a few hard runs.

Been 4 days past delivery date says it's 30mins away. On top of it I was happy when it came. Broke 3 mins of run time. Steering shaft, had it fixed. Broke shock on take off. Sending it back. I go buy something else. What a let down
