Super sharp, so good for my artisan home made bread!
I like the knife, it's not overly costly and does the job great, cuts through my home baked sourdough loaves with ease, and my loaves are sometimes very crusty, so I am happy. I did laugh about some reviews saying the knife is too sharp and people cut themselves easy, YES, take it serious I managed to cut my finger, LOL, not really funny. Just be extra careful. Only complaint is that this does NOT come with a protective sleeve, a bit sad, luckily I found an old one from another knife, hence 4 stars only.

Great Knife
We have gone thru paring knives like ball point pens, never sharp enough, does not hold an edge, or just never enough knives period. I wanted a good knife but I didn't want to spend a lot of money on it. I bought one of these knives just to try it out and believe me I got a lot more from it than I expected. it is very very sharp and handles well. I bought 5 more! You might be surprised how often a good knife comes in handy. I am going to try the 8 inch one now. I expect to be quite satisfied from my previous ikasu knife purchases. I have bought German made knives before and I use them on an almost daily basis; I think they are way over priced for what you get. I pay for my items. No freebies for me. I tell you like it is!

Great Knife, sharp blade. Great price
My drawers are full of knives but I was tired of my hand hurting trying too peel a potato. I NEEDED a sharp bladed knife. I googled what a good quality knife consist of and I was lead to a German blade. I looked through Amazon options and found this knife. I read a few positive reviews then read the negatives. My decision to buy this knife was solidified when the negative review said this knife was too sharp. LOL I'm not sure how a knife could be too sharp but if that's the complaint then this is what I'm buying. The knives is sharp but not too sharp to give it a negative review. It actually makes it a 5 star review. Now I finally have a sharp knife in the plethora of knives in my drawer.

Great for homemade bread!
If you've ever baked homemade bread, you know how difficult it can be to cut nice slices. This knife makes it easy – it glides right through and I've had a fairly easy time "winging it" and creating fairly consistent slices. I haven't ruined a single loaf of my homemade bread since I got this knife – it's that good. Highly recommended.

Good compromise of price and quality; very sharp out of the box
After researching the availability of 3.5-inch, smooth-blade paring knives, I decided on the Ikasu as an acceptable compromise of price and quality, am satisfied, and would recommend it. The knife was very sharp straight out of the box. I cannot say how long it will stay that way; however, I can easily resharpen it using the Presto 08810 electric sharpener I have bought with the money saved compared to (very) expensive brands of the same type knife. Even if irrelevant to the quality of the knife itself, I was impressed by how the manufacturer carefully packaged it in a rigid box making it suitable for presentation as a gift to someone who enjoys cooking.

Very satisfied
The cover snaps into place which is very nice! I like the extra scissor’s features. Feels very sturdy for price. I like the pointy tip. They also came in wrapping that didn’t require heavy duty scissors to get into. I immediately used them to remove a tiny zip tie and they worked like a charm. I was scared to cut myself but they handle well. Very pleased with my purchase.

High Carbon stainless steel, which means, its sharp and easy to keep it sharp
Most folks don't understand that high carbon steel is what you want. And that there are various grades of steel. In knives what matters is keeping that edge, and most stainless knives can't hold and edge, and are notoriously difficult to resharpen. This seems to be a good knife. And that matters in the kitchen.
