This product is designed very well and works just as expected. You DO NOT need the template to install it. When I first opened the box and read the directions, I went online trying to purchase a used template, or at least one for less than $50! After reading some of the other reviews, I opened the box again while my husband was at work and decided to give it a try. It took me less than an hour to complete the project. The hardest part was reinstalling the drawer front. It took a bit of measuring and a balancing act because I only had 2 hands, and I had to make a trip to my local hardware store as it needed a shorter screw to hold the knob. In my old drawer the screw went through the box, but here the front of the box is notched so the screw is just through the drawer front. I made sure I tightened it well because retightening means I have to remove the drawer front to get to the screw head.You do not need the template at all. The hole you need to bore in the back of the box is already there. The locking mechanism diagram shows you need to insert the screw at a 75 degree angle. Every DIYer should be capable of doing this without a template. It doesn't have to be exactly 75 degrees folks, it just needs a bit of an angle. I did it by eye with 4 screws and the locking mechanisms works just fine. I made the pilot hole using the locking device as the template and then made sure to follow the 75ish angle as I turned the screw.All I needed was a drill, measuring tape, a level, a pencil, and a Phillips head screwdriver. I even reused some of the existing holes in the cabinet frame from the old drawer glides which helped cut down on time. For anyone who's wondering... I'm female and have been DIYing for about 30 years. If you can build IKEA furniture, or some of those others where instructions are pictures only (no words), you can do this!

Good product. Looks and works great after installation. Installation is a real pain for two reasons. First, you are having to reach two feet into the cabinet to work on the back interior wall, which is really awkward and difficult to reach with both hands. Second, the instructions are really sparse and lack key information. The biggest example is they don't give you any sort of measurements or any sort of template for where to mount the back end of the rails to the back interior wall of the cabinet. The measurements are not identical to the front mounting locations, so you end up having to figure it out on your own which took a lot of effort.

This is a great product that was easy to install. There was a few damaged components in the box and the seller was provided prompt and exceptional customer service that is 2nd none in getting the issue resolved. I will be looking to purchase from this seller in the future.

Box arrived yesterday, and the drawer was in place and working smoothly by the end of the evening. It took me a while to figure out how best to arrange the silverware in the drawer, but it easily holds a service for 8, plus other assorted items. As mentioned in another review, the drawers are relatively shallow, I could not put the serving pieces (especially the ladles) into the drawer. The construction of the unit is solid, and highlights how "un-solid" our existing drawers are. The slides are very nice - smooth operating, and the fact that they are full extension is a bonus for me. I would recommend two people - one under the cabinet, the other with a level / handing screws / etc. to make the installation easier. I would also echo another user's recommendation to add bumpers on the back of the upper level to protect the back of the bottom slide. Overall thoughts - I'd recommend it, and I'm extremely happy with the piece.

Overall, this works great and I'm very happy with it. I'm a pretty good DIYer and this was tough to install in a 15" wide cabinet. I'm 5'2 and petite; I don't know how anyone over my size could install this in a 15" cabinet without inflicting serious pain on their body. My shoulders had to be inside the cabinet to drill in the screws. I ordered this to replace a drawer box that had old side mount hardware. And the cabinet was already in place. The directions said something about ordering a template to determine where to line up the drawer brackets (at the back the cabinet). I don't remember anything like that coming up at the time I ordered it. I was able to figure it out without the template. Anyway, nice product. Good luck with the install!

The media could not be loaded.  So this was kind of a pain for me to get just right, but it could have been due to cheap cabinets, so I don't place the blame here. After fiddling with adjusting it for a while, it is amazing!! I wish the bottom layer and the top were switched, since the bottom layer has more slots, I feel it would be better for the top with silverware and the bottom for knives, but regardless... I love this. It has been installed less than 4 hours and I've had 2 friends ask where I got it already. Read description!! 18 inch cabiney does not = 18 inch drawer here. Make sure you measure and you will not be disappointed! I have opened this just to admire it at least once every 30 mins since I installed it!

This is by far the best change I have made to my kitchen. I love this drawer so much! The quality is great and the installation was really easy. I ended up using the existing rails with some shims to make the drawer wide enough. Eventually, I'll get around to installing some dampening felt or rubber on the back of the sliding tray, but that's really the only change I would make to this. A great product.My cabinet face was originally held on with screws and that wouldn't work with this drawer. Instead, I used Gorilla Glue to attach it several months ago, and the whole thing seems quite sturdy!

Love it. Easy to install. Very good finish quality - sliders all work smoothly. Everyone who sees this loves the look and the extra space in the drawer.

Despite taking careful measurements and going through the manufacturer's website for details I could not find out how to make this product fit my cupboards. Very confusing and imprecise fit process. And I really like Rev-a-Shelf too but this product was a total bust. Amazon's listing also fails to provide essential information.
