I still think its not quite rigid enough for the wind we see and the desire to have a side shade (for late west sun) so I added diagonal braces.After purchasing several different options this was the one I kept.

These were very challenging to get on over the 4x4 posts. It is important to get posts that are nearly dry. Snug fit indeed, but he was able to get them on
