My girlfriend loves this kit and the results.This was a first time use of a magnetic product like this. Overall she's really impressed with the kits contents and quality.There appears to be a vast range of magnets available and the ones in the video didn't come with this kit.A dark base coat is essential, the application process is very simple but the use of magnets is something you'll have to experiment and explore to reach the results you want. With a little time and patience stunning results can be created. This was one of the occasions where my girlfriend liked me doing her nails for her, she just relaxed whilst I went to town on them and had fun.Once fully cured and top coated the results lasted really well, it was only after about 12 days that she wanted was change, but there wasn't one single chip, dent or scratch on them despite household chores.Removal was a little more time consuming, a buff down with the e file and then some gel remover was applied, a gentle scrape removed some of the Polish but a second application was required to get back fully to the nail bed.Overall we really like this kit, definitely worth getting again but also worth investing in more magnets of different designs.The two things we didn't like were:1. The brushes, we've had wider flatter ones as standard before that give a nicer more even coverage.2. The debris in the polish. On two of the colours used there was a skin within the polish and some small debris which naturally transfered to the nail, which needed clean up as did the brush and its stem.For that reason we have removed one star.

Excellent coverage with 2 coats. The use of the magnet after applying the second coat, prior to curing, makes the colour look richer and creates the distinctive “cat eye” effect. This can be further enhanced by applying a clear top coat.Even though a couple of the colours are very similar, there are a wide variety of colours in this set.I’m very impressed with this set and love all the colours. The kit is supplied with a cylindrical magnet as well as a flat bar magnet - I’m sure they create different effects but I’m still experimenting to see what does what.The exterior of all the bottles are white with no hint of the colour contained inside; instead the colour is indicated by a paper sticker on the lid of the bottle. Whilst I understand the need to protect the product within from UV light, the small stickers aren’t very helpful. Therefore I decided to paint each colour on a separate nail tip as if I were painting it on a real nail - the identity of the colour is written on the reverse of each nail; this not only gave me an exact recreation of the colour, but allowed me to try it in position over my nail before applying it - sorted!Overall, an excellent product but the range of pinks could be more varied.

The media could not be loaded. I loved this kit - the colours provided are really nice with a good variety, and it's very easy to use (though a bit tricky to master at first, I'd suggest practicing with false nails or a bit of plastic until you get the hang of the technique). After a base coat of your choice (in my video it's a black base but you can use any colour or just clear), add one or two layers of your chosen cats eye colour, and BEFORE you cure hold one of the provided magnets above the surface and you'll see the little bits of glitter move around within the gel. Depending on how and where you move the magnet, you can produce various patterns (the manufacturer's video shows some complex magnets but all that was provided in my kit was a simple round magnet and a long thin one so don't expect to product flower effects, starbursts etc). However, that said I was very happy with the effect, which is akin to a tiger's eye semi-precious stone, it catches the light beautifully. I am very happy to recommend this product and I'm sure you'll love the results!

These are cat eye gel polishes, they have a sparkly effect that can be manipulated by a magnet creating a fun, almost holographic effect.As they’re gel polish, you do need a UV lamp to cure them which is not included in this kit. Dehydrator, primer, base coat, and topcoat also aren’t included and will need to be purchased separately too.You get a good range of colours in this set, although there's 5 colours that are very similar (pinks/reds/light purple). The polish itself is a good consistency and goes on smoothly, it gives good coverage with one thin layer. You will need to apply a solid colour layer before adding the cat eye gel, the darker the base colour the more dramatic the effect but you can apply with a lighter colour. I used a red base in the photos included, and you can see the effect but it’s not as prominent as it would be if I used a black base. You also don’t need to use the magnet/cat eye effect if you don’t want to, you will still create a nice sparkly colour.However, no instruction came in the box. I’m quite experienced doing my own gel nails, including with cat eye polish, so I can manage without instructions but this is not good for beginners. There are some instructions on the amazon listing, although they state note to cure the solid colour gel before applying the cat eye gel. Admittedly, I’ve not tried it without curing the colour layer but that seems wrong to me!The photos on the listing also imply you get receive a magnet on stick, however I only received the two magnets included in my photo. I find the magnets on the stick much easier to use, the small magnets can be quite fiddly and difficult to hover in the desired position – I already own a magnet on a stick so was able to use that, however if it’s included in the photos it should be included in the box, unless it explicitly states it’s not included.The polishes themselves are good and I can’t fault them. However, it’s quite highly priced especially as you don’t get any base or top coat and it’s lacking instructions so I wouldn't personally recommend this set in particular.
